Brought the trailer home from storage over this past weekend, ran the generator for an hour or so, charged up the batteries, they still had a near full charge. I cleaned and vacuumed, it's ready to use, now I can't wait to get a free weekend to go

Dusted off the fins to my electric oil filled space heater. It's 42" long and puts out a nice even heat and max is 750 watts. Makes no noise at all.

Put the new mattress topper on the bed and tightened the P trap to the tub that was leaking. Boy tight fit in there. Then torqued the wheels per specs. with new torque wrench. Almost good to go.

Drinking a cup after hooking to shore water to fill my fresh water tank. It has been below freezing for the past couple of nights and I just unhook the hose and use internal water until it warms up. Today is supposed to be in the 60's so I'll fill back up for the next time.

Just finished putting gas rods to help support the master bed for storage underneath. Learned valuable lesson...don't let the wife buy the system for you!! She purchased the 100 lb gas shocks...needless to say the bed would not stay in the down position. Had to reorder the 24 lb rods

Works great now!!

Just finished installing the wall mount and our little flat screen tv today. I was concerned about centering on a wall stud but, after scanning multipul times, I drilled the first hole and SUCCESS !!! Then after several tries we actually got the set programmed. As the song says "I'm an analog man in a digital world." I can't even find the knob to change channels !!LOL!!

Flipped the Mattress

After full-timing for about 6 months, my Denver Mattress had developed a bit of a "sag" where I sleep. Since I had the sheets off for cleaning, I decided it was time to rotate the mattress 180 degrees. Let me tell you, trying to turn a queen-size mattress by yourself in the confined quarters of the master bedroom was quite a chore. Especially with all the help the dog wanted to give me (lol). In the process, I checked for moisture on/in the memory foam mattress topper placed underneath the mattress (like a box spring). No sign (or smell) of moisture. Finally got the job done, though, and now it sleeps like new!

Got tired of getting down on my knees and having to remove 4 screws out of cover to get to the hot water heater. Took the screws out and drilled the holes to enable the use of 4 double headed nails. Now all I have to do is reach down and pull the nails back and remove the cover. Much simpler!

designed and built 2 book and drink holders for our bed... with the king bed in the slide there is no place to put a book or drink when your reading at night so I designed some that will slide in beside the wall and mattress of the slide and hold themselves up against the wall without having to fasten them. They just slide out to make the bed

Replaced the stock heater vents in the bathroom and bedroom with adjustable damper units. What a difference! Also washed and waxed the outside in preparation for next months outing. Ordered a new digital thermostat to replace the less-than-satisfactory stock unit. Busy weekend!

Washed the camper and replaced the 12v circuit breaker on the frame... Original one cooked because wire from battery was not bolted down tight enough and was arcing. Wishing for an early spring!

Added two stick on hooks for small book and glasses holders by the bed. Attached a sheet of tin under the folding bunk to use as a magnet board when the bed is folded up. Cut some bolts that were too long on the electric stabilization jacks. Put all the little parts for the equalizer hitch in storage pouches in the front bay and added some hooks to keep them in place. And just looked at the trailer and admired it :-)

I watched the snow melting off the TT in the 50 degree weather we had yesterday, hoping that spring was just around the corner. However, there's currently about 5 inches of snow on the ground and it's only approaching the middle of February, so maybe I shouldn't be too optimistic.
