Test fitted the new TV in place and made up a 30' coax cable for hook ups. Tomorrow (if the weather is decent) going to clean the fridge, charge the battery and purge the LP lines in prep for our next trip out.

Went inside, checked the battery indicator, saw full charge indicated. Checked tire pressure - still 75lb on all 4 tires out of the 80lb left in them last fall. Checked for winter leaks - found none. All quiet on the western front. closed up and started daydreaming about our first trip of the season in April.

Tinlizzie, are you putting out an all point bulletin for the missing 5 lbs?
I just keep dreaming about pulling mine out of storage. With a little less than a 1 foot of snow on the ground and talk of more coming, I just have to keep dreaming.

We have lost the 20 inches of snow we got a couple of weeks ago, but still too cold and windy to go camping. As for the missing 5 lbs pressure, I think maybe one of the bears that live near us needed some extra oxygen or something. No really, it's probably just the cold that reduces the pressure, as the 80lb was in there when temps were still in the 80's last fall. But if the pressure drops much more, I'll let my friends in the State Police know about it. LOL :hihi:

I did some experimenting with the 2 rear slideouts to determine why it says one has to extend first and vice versa.

Found that the reason has to do with the carpet clearance. No gears stripping or anything, just one has to overlap the other and has to be opened / closed in the marked sequence to not crimp the carpet.

I asked this question of my dealer and they did not know.

Like many of you, I'm dreaming of the first trip out for the year......coming up in 1 1/2 weeks! Yeehaw! I got an idea from another thread here about a slide out since my 264BH only has a door on one side in the front. So, I measured and designed one and went and picked up the materials today since Menard's has an 11% off sale going on. Total cost for the custom slide out - $43.24. Oh, and I installed a light in the rear storage area.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

we looked at the rear Reese hitch and prepared our yakima bike rack for it. Very glad the HT 23.5 came with a rear hitch
Shortfall of this 5th wheel is lack of storage. Thinking of adding a tray on the back with a box for hoses and wires. The tray would need to have an extra hitch for the bike rack as well.
I keep things pretty organized and don't need it yet but we'll see after this summer. Would be a nice spot for a generator but not even sure we need one of these.

Today I suspended a new tarp over my Z. I had suspended one last summer and removed it a few weeks ago. The grommets started to pull free from the weight of the ice that was on the tarp. I was afraid the tarp would rip and the hunk of ice would fall on the camper and damage it. I worked the ice to the edge of the tarp and pushed it off (about 40 gallons of ice) then cut the old tarp down. I will be using the old tarp on the wood pile now. I laced rope around the edges and then "wove" rope back and forth from each grommet. Cable tied the intersections together so the ropes won't slide apart as easy.

Supposed to pull fumes from the tank when underway. We have noticed some septic smells at times when driving. Will find out if this cures the problem.

Saturday I uncovered the trailer . Dewinterized, installed electric tongue jack. Inspected the roof , today start loading it up for Easter weekend. We are using it at a local campground just to get it out for the first trip of the year. It seems like not a lot of campgrounds open quite yet.

Watched ANOTHER 6 inches of snow fall on the trailer today. More coming this afternoon and all night. We had hardly a flake for all of November, December, January, and February. Now it's supposed to be Spring in March, and we are getting FEET of snow. What in the world happened ? Did Congress suddenly decide to lower our taxes, or what ? Or maybe the IRS is giving us all a 50% refund on last year's taxes ??

Ground is still frozen here in my part of the woods so I plowed the slow away enough to get the truck backed up and pulled the Jayco out off her winter resting location beside the garage and parked it on the driveway. Calling for mild weather here all week and once that snow all melts and the frost is gone from the ground it would be stranded there until August before it dries up again!!

trimmed memory foam pad to fit queen bed. Put on the new comforter set and mattress pad. Added some organizers we just got from camping world. Installed the new latching ends for the rear bumper storgage.
We still have alot of snow here in NY so we are chomping at the bit to get out. We were going to go camping next week during the kids spring break but alot of campgrounds that open april 1st have postponed their opening due to snow storms and frozen ground. They also won't turn on the water at the campgrounds because our temps are around 10 degrees still at night.
