Cleaned roof, washed sides and waxed front cap.

Enlarged and added drain holes in the bottom of the bike rack.

Brought it home on Friday, de-winterized (even though I ended up getting into heated storage this winter).

Sanitized the water lines with water/bleach over night.

Today emptied the fresh water tank, filled with fresh water and rinsed out all the lines.

I guess the awning was damp when I put the trailer away last year, so had mildew and awful smell. Bought a bottle of Thetford awing cleaner and cleaned the top and underside of the awning. Looks and smells new!

Used Thetford black streak remover on a few spots around the trailer.

The caulking by the edge of the tub surround let go during the season last year, so today I removed the old caulking and re-caulked.

This week I will install battery disconnect.

Next weekend is the long weekend here in Canada. Heading out for 3 nights!

I just unhooked my 150 gallon external propane tank and hooked up the internal tanks again in preparation for moving to Panama City, FL for the summer. I know I'm supposed to go north in the summer, but I have been known to do some things backwards.

I permanently mounted my DirecTV Slimline dish last fall at my home base and this morning I set up a new Slimline dish on my tripod. The new Slimline dishes are lighter than the older ones. Every pound counts I guess.

My black tank tote has now been removed from storage and is sitting out ready to be loaded. I did flush it real good to make sure nothing was missed last fall when I cleaned it. It smells better right now than it will in a couple of weeks.

Now I think it is lunch time.

Installed a new Camco folding stove top cover that the DW wanted for more counter space.

Started building a whole new trailer tongue mounted bike rack. I have seen several people do this, but never a bracket like I have in mind. Challenge was to fit it inbetween the propane tanks and batteries, still have access to both, and have it low enough so that I could lower the front bunk without removing the bike rack. So far so good, look for pics in the Mod's section in a week or so.

I think you have the best plan Rob. Move every 2-3 weeks. I have been here at my home base for entirely too long and everything that was in the basement has "spread out". Moving more frequently won't allow this "stuff" to get so unorganized, but it is all in there now and ready to travel. The only thing left to stow is my power cable (plenty of room) and my water hose (plenty of room).

Whew! Now all I need to do it air up all 8 tires and install my TPMS sensors. Then Wednesday morning first thing I'm headed south for 4 months.

I checked my battery level yesterday also. I have two Trojan T105's and I check the water level every spring and fall. So far they have never required more than just a very little bit of water. I would check them more often, but it hasn't been necessary. They are 2 1/2 years old now and used full time.

Today is clean up and organize the inside for travel tomorrow.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

What is the dealer doing to our jayco is the question.
In for warranty work along with adding a slide topper to prevent further water going into the camper. I didn't know I was supposed to dry or clean the top of the slide....
This should prevent most of the problem.
Looking forward to getting it back to give the 5th wheel a good cleaning and polish before going to the Good Sam Rally in Syracuse.

Just went through and cleaned it after sitting all winter. Tested water and propane and all electrical to ensure all is well. Thinking of heading to the family cottage for the weekend to open it for the season but high of 10 Celsius this weekend is not making things look to fun.

I towed mine 260 miles today from my home base to Panama City, FL where I will be for the next 4 months as a camp host. Arrived about an hour ago. I'm leveled and the a/c is on. Now to set up the satellite dish. You gotta have TV for a good nap.

Want to see my camp site? Go to Google Earth and search for:
30 8.384 N 85 44.600 W and then go to street view.
This picture was taken two years ago when I was on the same site. Home Sweet Home, at least for the next 4 months.

Installed the MorRyde Wet Bolt Kit on the Right Side this afternoon.
Removed Hubs, inspected brakes, packed bearings and replaced seal.

Found some issues,

1. On the Right Rear Brake, I found the Self Adjuster Spring that keeps the lever down and the cable tight was broken.

2. When doing the rear Spring on the right side, the front of the spring had no bushing in it at all, no evidence there was ever a bushing in the spring. Now I know where a lot of the noise was coming from.
Installed the Bronze Bushings that came with the Wet Bolt Kit in both springs on the right side.

Now to do the left side this weekend before ordering the brake parts to be sure there is nothing missing or wrong on the left side.

Robert
