Didn't do anything, stayed home and watches the race at Watkins Glen. Tomorrow, however, we will be packing up for a getaway starting on Wednesday..

Does sleeping in it in the driveway last night count?

I sadly ended my vacation by bringing my pup home tuesday night. I found out a 20# tank doesn't last long with the heater going. I had to borrow a space heater during my trip. After getting home, I opened it up to clean it out and restock for the next trip which should start in 8 days. I used Dupont polishing compound to wipe off some overspray from a previous owner. My son and I cleaned the windows, inside and out. He must like the pup because he slept in it last night in the driveway, again.

I emptied my tanks via tote and took to the dump yesterday. I'm good now for another week or so. Only 29 more days and I leave my host position for my home base and full hookups.

.. I had a 550 square foot concrete slab poured (yesterday) next to the house on which to park my 184bh. I also further dinked around with the battery setup and installed a pair of Everstart group 24 marine batteries in parallel ($124, 180 aH combined) in a pair of group 24 boxes that I'm already looking to swap with a single enclosure. I also ordered a Trimetric 2025 RV battery/voltage monitoring system and a Morningstar Sunsaver Duo 25 amp PWM solar charge controller to manage the output of 2 x 100 watt Bosch/Windynation panels I'm going to mount on the roof (probably put them both right above the bunk for now, should have room for another pair in the future if I need-want them).

Well yesterday after church was my first chance to mess with the new to us Eagle.
I scrubbed the rubber roof.
washed the awning top and bottom. That was fun for a vertically challenged guy.
washed the whole out side and polished the glass.
Shinned the aluminum wheels
Sanitized the fresh water system.
Ordered a new adjustable highth head for my equalizer hitch.
Whew!

Replaced the interior LED lights with some eBay models:
.. not quite as warm as the standard bulbs, but the "warm white" 36-1210 boards went in most of the interior fixtures, did 24-1210's in the bunks and a circular 24-5050 in the bathroom which is slightly brighter than the 36-1210.
36-1210: http://www.ebay.com/itm/320784783686
24-1210: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321118423982
24-5050: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321180112745
I ended up with 2 spare 36-1210 panels if one fails plus one adapter. I did find that the electrical contact wires on the 921 adapter for the 1210 are a bit touchy - might have to tweak these a bit after I drive around with them installed (I found bending the leads away from the plug body made a good connection). For the price which was around $50 shipped I replaced all of the interior lights plus the exterior bulb in my camper with LED's that run about .200 ma each vs 1.4 each with the original bulbs. An improvement of 7x reduced electrical usage for a similar level and quality of light compared to the basic 921 bulbs for $50 is a good upgrade in my book.

We made some cheap night shades. We used extendable curtain rods from walmart that were under $3 each that sit inside the valances under spring tension. Bought some cheap light brown bath towels to block out the sunlight. We used some fabric snaps to form the loop the rod to go thru, 4 snaps per shade. Easy on easy off. We can either pull the rods down or unsnap the towels when we don't want them up. It looks better than it sounds.

Got the daughter's to replace their camping clothes in the camper from our trip 2 weeks ago. Getting groceries for this weekend's trip to N. Kingston, RI for a short camping weekend. Going to try a shower curtain experiment. I hate how the corner shower curtain sticks like glue to me. I don't want to screw stuff permanently into the walls either. So I'm going to try a big command strip clothes hook on each side of the shower, placed horizontally, hook facing out from shower corner about mid height. Then I'm using a pool noodle and inserting the hooks into the hollow center of noodle like a bow to push the center of the curtain out. If it works OK, I'll post pics!

Replaced our plastic furnace floor vents with metal vents.
Most of the plastic vents were cracked and broken.

Today I washed the exterior, including the roof and the awning. Need to go up later and check the sealant.

Cleaned out and reorganized all the outside access storage compartments and their contents. Did a flush of black and grey tanks.
