Happy RVing,

Would love to hear about and see pics of your trip to Trinidad; it's on our short list of longish trips.

Last night made a batch of ice, bought groceries and water, checked tire pressure, bled propane lines. Just about ready to get to it!

Installed my Progressive Industries EMS today. 119v 1a 60hz with the rig plugged in at home. 108v 9a 60hz with the A/C running. I plan on running a 30 amp line out there in the fall, too hot to dig right now if you do not have to. The 10 awg wiring will help the voltage drop. It is only about a 50 foot run.

Replaced the rusted screws on roof AC vent cover and cleaned the rust out of the deep wells that water collects in.

Painted hardware for install of valterra ez hose carrier. Didn't want chrome colour, needed black to match bumper.

Changed locking mechanism on built-in sewer hose compartment door. Plastic twist lock was garbage and fell apart the first time I opened the door. Now metal replacement should actually hold up to road travel.

Bought shower curtain, fabric elastic, & binder clips for my "temporary mod" of dividing bunk end so two Tweens can share a bunk end and not kill each other... Whoops, I mean so they can have "privacy"

Still putting stuff in it - just for starters. Monday afternoon it goes back to the dealer for a GFCI replacement, and Thursday we head out on our first trip. Also, found out that both the truck and the car can get around the trailer even when the slide is out.

Yesterday in the trailer, we hosted an old friend who was back in town for a few days. Andersen Window guys were replacing doors on the house, so the air co wasn't working, and we retreated to the trailer to stay cool! Yay!

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Pulled it home after a 5 day trip to Bethpage Campground. Will need to wash it as it rained on the way home. Luckily we had nice weather the whole time...

Took it to the dealer for what we thought was going to be a 30 min. replacement of the GFCI, and they found a huge electrical problem. The trip we have scheduled for later this week is dry camping, so no worries - but we'll take her back in the day after we get home, because the trip in early September is all KOAs, so we'll need the electrics. Really glad to have found the problem now. Our dealer is great - stayed after closing to get us back on the road properly. (Shout out to RV City in Huachuca City, AZ!)

Just finished refilling my fresh water tank after the 6th, I think, fresh water supply issue at this park since I arrived in May. Having options when shore power/water fails is nice.

Hooked up my grill yesterday and checked for leaks. Found none. Fired it up for the first time and I'm pretty happy with it and the grill table wife bought at sams club. $99 for grill and $39 for grill table. Got the hose for the qd connection off ebay.

Grill cools down very quickly after shut off also so I won't have to wait a long time to store it back in the trailer compartment next to my outside dorm fridge.

Last night, we emptied all our travel stuff (clothes, toiletries, etc. all that stuff we put in for a trip), emptied and turned off the fridge, drained all the water and blew out the lines with compressed air. Got it all ready to go back to storage tonight; just have to wipe the water out of the bottom of the freezer and off she goes, back to storage for 5 weeks.

DW says it's too hot to go camping, so we're putting it up until it cools off just a little. Texas is definitely "4-season" camping area, but it gets pretty dog gone hot through July and August. Hoping by September our 100* days will be fewer!

Hooked it up to the "new to me" truck and checked to make sure the WDH was set right. Then it was out on the road for ten minutes so I could dial in the brake controller and make sure it towed the way I was hoping. All went well so its back home parked next to the garage waiting for our next camping trip.

This probably will not help anyone, but you asked. I cussed mine. I have to go about finding out how to acquire and install a replacement grey water tank. Just another failed item in my long list.
