I replaced the 1/2" drain plug on the water heater after it blew out in the middle of the night. We had someone knocking on the side of the camper a bit after midnight to let us know that we were shooting water out of the side of the motorhome.

Bought this new tool kit at Home Depot yesterday. It was on clearance for $99.99! I couldn't pass it up!

Nice score Dan! I think a trip to HD is in my near future.

Speaking of scores, when I took my morning dump walk (taking trash to the dumpsters), I saw that someone decided they didn't need their 25 gallon waste tote. It was left next to the dumpster for someone in need to pick up.

Well, I was feeling needy, so I walked it back to my camp area. Nice tote, too. Has pneumatic tires, a cool metal rod bracket that allows it to be hung on a trailer hitch, and looks pretty clean. But I'm still going to fill it, AND wash it off, with Clorox water before I use it.

Great to have a throw down tool kit for the RV while traveling.
If something happens to it, you do not feel like you lost much.

I just bought a Husky torque wrench for the exact same reason.

Well done.

Thanks guys!
Fairenatic...that's exactly what I was thinking. Dropped off at the trailer this afternoon! The tool kit I had in there was old...like from my high school/college days old.

Upgraded my surge protector to a EMS-PT30C. Have read so many raves about them here, I decided to go for it. Thanks to all who wrote about it!

We went over to our storage lot and added air to the tires with our new Viair 88p compressor. They were down about 8-10 lbs from last fall. It was so easy using the Viair. Each tired was topped off to 52lbs within 1-2 minutes. What a breeze! I also ran water in all of the sinks and made sure there was water in the toilet. We are trying to decide where we should take it for a 3 day weekend. Maybe the beach? We'll see.

Just make sure you have the right plug so you can run your generator with it, if needed. It is easy to make and save yourself $40.

At first they (3 men) laughed at me and said that little VW will never pull that 30' trailer. Well 41 miles later it's delivered and all setup so a friend of mine can use his trailer because his house burnt down. Boy I love that Touareg TDI.

Have another fairly sunny day so I took the cover off it (Whoo-Hoo!!!). I want to check a few things out before it goes to the dealer for it's first wheel bearing repack and brake adjustment end of next week so if there are other items that need addressed I can add them to the list.

I removed the outer rear wheel to track down why it's losing air (new tire). The 90 degree hose for the valve core extender was loose on the stem. Also found out that right side set of duals wasn't torqued to 140 ft. lbs. , left side was .

Well, just replaced the power jack, (died) will put it on in the spring, The cover is not coming off until the end of April, not taking a change on snow, rain, wind out in Chilliwack,
Have new storage for it. My insurance will like that.
Going to clean up the batteries and plug them in.
