Put the new "Coleman Mach Digital Wall Thermostat 8330-3862 Black" in my Jay Flight 26BH.

Thank you Aero_Dave for posting info on this! As you mentioned, it is a wire for wire swap out that takes about 5 -10 minutes tops. Just pop the cover off and remove two screws and pull the wire connections out of the wall to do the swap.

I did not use the holes from the original thermostat because for whatever reason Jayco did not use the left mounting hole that was existing in the base. They instead screwed it through the plastic near the top. When I lined up the right hole of the new thermostat to the existing right hole from the old thermostat, the left hole was above the top of the new thermostat and would be visible. So I just moved the new one up about a half inch to cover the old hole. Works perfect and am very happy to have it, plus I like that it tells you what the temp is inside the TT. No more wide temperature fluctuations!

Today we tested a decorative garland arrangement using the newly siliconed-on plant anchors (and using bobby pins for cotter pins), so we know how we want to do that at camp. Also, DW attached with Velcro some file racks in the closet by the bed, so she has a place for notebooks and pens (she's a writer, and gets inspired when we camp). Later today I think she's going to Velcro in some magazine holders. We also drilled holes in our welcome sign, and put up more plant anchors that we can hang it from.

This was the first mod I made to my Designer when new. Both thermostats were changed and have worked great ever since.

Actually this was yesterday:

Checked tire pressure and reinstalled TST 507 wheel sensors.
Emptied fresh water tank. Will refill it tomorrow and 5 days boondocking at Talladega.
Washed the RV Flex Armor roof with regular car wash soap and a soft brush. Didn't look at any caulking when up there because there isn't any . Nothing there to clean except a little accumulated dirt and a few leaves. Then watched a good guy and his helper wash the entire rig and wax as well as my pickup.

Today:

Fill generator onboard fuel tank with gas and fill two 5 gallon cans to put in the back of my truck.

Organize all interior "stuff" for travel.

Tomorrow am I'm leaving my home base sit for 5 months.

After my night at the Colville, WA Walmart, I found a great place to camp. The Little Pend Orielle River National Wildlife Refuge. Free camping for 7 days (boondocking) in a beautiful forest setting. I left the truck hooked up to the TT since I didn't need to drive anywhere. Just Leveled the TT on blocks, and used the tongue jack to level front to back.

Spent two nights there, and headed out this morning, through Kettle Falls, then south, back to where I started- the Dry Falls WA WDF camping area at Coulee City, WA. I'll stay here two or three nights again, then back to where all the danged people live. I start my State Park Campground Maintenance Host position May 1.

Today was a tough drive. I hit HWY 25 south from Kettle Falls, and it's a twisty, turny, hilly road. Max speed limit is 55, but there are so many curves and hills, my speed varied constantly. And it's a two lane road, no shoulders, and very narrow in areas. I drove only 130 miles today, but it feels like I drove 400. Constant concentration was required the entire drive, and it literally wore me out!

So...

As soon as I got my TT parked at the WDF area, I popped a beer, drank a couple more while setting up, and will continue popping until the stress caused by the drive is relieved. Tomorrow will hurt, I'm afraid.

After this cup it is finish organizing the interior for travel, dump the tanks, and hook up for the 100 mile drive to Talladega. I will be volunteering there until 5-2 when I head south to Panama City Beach until 9-15.

The wash/wax was finished up late yesterday just in time for the rain. Where is that black cloud anyway?

Ordered my (maybe) second to last set of LED panels to replace the standard bulbs. They should be here today. I have a few more fixtures to deal with (in the bunks, and the "reading" lights above the master bed, and one wall sconce), but the primary ones will be all LED now, FINALLY!

Getting ready to pull my TT to a new spot, another free camping area at the Dam on Potholes Reservoir, south of Moses Lake, WA. Glad I didn't unhitch- just have to pack up, raise my jacks, and away I go.

I did see one of my rattlesnakes while here at Banks Lake again. It was curled up in the mouth of its culvert/den sunning its side. Supposed to be lots of rattlers in the new area I'll be at, too.

Picked it up from the winter storage, towed it with the new truck for the first time!! Brought it to the summer storage spot and started getting it ready for summer. Put a memory foam topper on the bed and had a nap! Went thru all compartments reorganizing and cleaning up. Can't wait to camp!!

Got it set up on right on the shoreline of Potholes Reservoir, ate a bite, then took a nap in it. Plan to stay here 3 days. The Washington Discover Pass ($35 for the annual pass) is a heck of deal if you appreciate free camping in Washington state.

Where are you parked at DEGA, I've learned alot from your posts, and if your near me, I would love to shake your hand and say thanks in person. I'm in North park on top the hill between flag pole 2 & 3 ( from the left)?

I'm in GEICO East Park site 283 which is directly south of you. I can see your "hill" from my site. This is a "secure" area if you are driving in since we have a guard at the entrance 24 hrs. I will be gone all day today since I am a volunteer this week. I will be in the Infield at Frontrunners II from 7:00am until 6 or 7 this evening then back here.

If you do drive or walk over this way let me know and I'll see if I can convince the guards to let you in. I'll pm you my phone number so you can call or text.

Sitting inside at the dinette, drinking my morning coffee, and just watched a beaver swimming along the lake shoreline, not 25' from my eyeballs.
