Founders Breakfast Stout. 8.3 ABV, 60 IBUs. The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Yes, I’m in MI right now. So much craft beer, so little time. Click image for larger version

I have some Wells Banana Bread Beer I'm going to try this weekend, our last official camping weekend of the year. When that's gone, I'll have to finish up the Big Rock Traditional Ale that's been in the trailer fridge all summer.

I've never head of this beer, I'll be interested in the verdict. If it's even remotely positive I may have to go hunting for some to try.

I just had to try this. Founders has got some great stuff. It’s a 98 on beer tasters group.

I just finished it and it wasn't too bad, nice balance between the bananas and the malt and hops, not overpowering like some other flavored beers I've had. Smells of banana, initial taste is of banana and cloves, finish is a bit malty. I'd buy it again, just for something different. 7/10

I am a fan of Founders now. Double Trouble, Dirty Bastard, Breakfast Stout and this. This being the fourth product I’ve tried so far. This stuff tastes just as the label says, “aged in oak bourbon barrels” and it is certainly that. It is 11% ABV. A 4 pk is 14.99.

I wish it was. One could begin to hate beer with selections like this.

Not that I'll run out and buy a 6 pack.

Wonder if the beer contributed to the living to 102?

I use Coors Banquet as my water replacement when in the US. One of the many craft beers (IPA's) are for when I don't want water.

Glad you like the Founder's. I live in Southern Indiana and have enjoyed Founders for some time now. If you want a real surprise, pick up some "Old Leghumper" I got this as a joke, but turns out to be a very nice porter.
