Winter arrived here in Colorado this week. Snapped this shot yesterday just north of Denver on my drive into work.

As first time snowbird wannabe's that polar vortex chased about 80 % of the way South.
De-winterized in Yuba City,Ca yesterday!

Tunce the traveler gave me some very valuable local knowledge for the the trip north for new grandson Christmas, thanks. I wonder if other 'local experts' wouldn't mind mentoring some JOF wandering by, especially during events like Mr. P. Vortex.

With life passing by at amazing speed I do not wish any of it to pass away, however, I do wish it was spring.

eldermike; just go a bit more south like the birds do and it will not pass away.
We are here in a deep freeze this moment.........I still dreaming of going South. I enjoy the winters too. My snow blower has heated handles and it also gives me a chance to talk to neighbors and complain about the weather.

I am going to retire in May but still might do some consulting. Might give following the birds a try

Seann if you are getting to hot there, I can drop ship some snow......saves on A/C power. Or I can even send a truck with ice blocks for on top of the roof (We know Jayco roofs can handle that). Hookup your gutter spout to the water tank and have always cool water for the wisky.

Why would we do that? As we Canadians need the full proof as antifreeze, here in the great white North!

Can you send some of that heat back here, it is all of a sudden became an ice box!

That is awesome. I am a fair weather hunter. -30 here with wind chills and that's all the motivation I needed to decide to watch football instead of hiking in the hills with our rifles.
