Ok Doug I went and bought one of those Propane Cookers set it up and it looks like it will do the trick. They had them on sale at ACE Hardware this weekend for 79.99 so couldnt pass it up so will give it a try on Thursday for turkey day.

Closest we will get to Turkey is a turkey leg at Disneyland. I must be crazy but my father-in-law's funeral was this weekend and my single/adult kids need some cheering up. My wife wont be with us so it time to be spontaneous. Not taking out TT though. Its a 12 hour drive. Hello Marriot Hotel.

Stjohneyre, so sorry for your loss, I went through this last year with my father.

We usually go away for Thanksgiving but not this year. Still working on remodeling the house. Lived in the TT for almost 2 weeks while the floors were being tiled. Maybe next year. When we go and have no hookups we use the Rocket Roaster. It will cook a 14 lb bird in 2 hours. Does a great job, no oil just charcoal.

It looks like this. http://www.factorydirect2you.com/cob...u#.UpTd0bK9KSM

Oh well, maybe next year we can get out. Have a Happy Camping Thanksgiving to all who can go!

Was going to put up some pics on how our 'bird' turned out but the add image feature is still not working.
