IF you ever want to give your dog something they will go NUTZ for.. there is a USA made product called "Liver Bites".. I got a bag of these for the dogs in our camping group.. it is the only treat I have given them where they actually follow me around wanting more...

If you want to increase the amount of engagement with your dog (how much he pays attention to you) stop feeding him in a bowl, and instead feed him out of your hands and play more engagement games as part of that feeding.
