Same here, I do it the same way as you do. I love the full flavor of the coffee, I like mine on the strong side.

Many years ago when tent camping with the guys I brought the coffee beans, someone brought beer. That was about it. Next morning I smashed the beans with a rock and just chewed on them around the campfire.

45 years later and it has never happened again.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend Coffee (COSTCO)

Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend Coffee. Grind it fresh. Have to stock up on it before heading to the Blue Ridge Mountains each year, as we can only find it at COSTCO. Last year I under estimated the # of bags we needed and had them UPS us a few bags. Nice and strong is how we like it.

Addicted to it, need my 3 a day quota...

Don

I have a Behmor roaster and do my own. You buy whatever green coffee beans you like and roast as you like. You can get coffee done at a fraction of the cost of store bought but the Behmor costs $299. I've got over 300 roasts done on mine so far.

Here's a fun coffee thing to do. Avoid the obvious coffee stops and instead keep an eye out for craft coffee roasters. Stop-in to sample their coffee and buy a bag or two if it hits-the-spot. We are BIG coffee drinkers so enjoy finding new sources this way or through local fairs and events. It makes a good memory when you find a favorite; we did just that when coming out of Mariposa near Yosemite - so much so that now we mail-order it!

My DW is addicted to the Kona Classic coffee. I used to get it cheap at the commissary but now I have to mail order it.

Jaguar Espresso Fair Trade/Organic from Equator Coffees and Teas. Beautifully balanced and not over-roasted. Buy more than $35 worth and shipping is free. I can have coffee that was roasted on Monday in my hands on Wednesday.

i've been drinking 'gloria jean's' coffee for maybe 20 years. she has retail stores in some larger shopping malls, but i order on the computer and have the beans delivered. wonderful flavors. i prefer 'dark chocolate' and 'german chocolate cake' flavors.

My neighbor works for royal cup coffee, and I get cases at a time so with just the wife and I drinking it and getting so much I usually make BBQ rub with it in 5 gallon batches and still give some away!

Everything cool comes from Costco! I drink the Kirkland Starbucks Espresso blend. Full-bodied and guaranteed to grow hair on your chest.

Cup hot water, folders coffee bag, 2 Splenda and half & half (that's cream for the people down south). When you ask for half & half they give you half regular and half decaf. I felt like a fool.

Speaking of Costco, we buy the New Mexico Pinon coffee when they have a booth in the store every quarter or so. Great blend....tastes a lot like Hawaiian Kona coffee. Try it, you'll like it.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

French roast. Usually from San Francisco Coffee Company.

Used to be espresso roast every morning in a stovetop espresso maker, but I got tired of cleaning it, so I bought a Keurig. The coffee isn't nearly as good, but it's far more convenient.

Costco is difficult to beat, we like the Columbian Supremo bean. But for that special cup we bought whole bean Sumatra and grind our own.
