Yes and that's it not running after the brew. Easy to clean, no pot to clean. I think we are wasting less coffee. I used to throw out old coffee at times.

A coffee press? Coffee into the press. Boil water then pour into press. Best way to make coffee in my opinion. I use it at my home even. Average press makes around 6 cups

We have a Coleman drip that sits on the cook top. I brew coffee on the cook top in our outdoor kitchen to reduce the moisture inside the TT. With the cook top turned to high it takes about 25 minutes to brew 12 cups. I usually brew 2 pots each morning so the single cup coffee makers wouldn't serve us well.

The Aeropress does indeed make excellent coffee. It will be replacing the percolator and the Keurig in the trailer for sure. I have even used it at home over the Keurig when I want a nice strong cup!
Will probably order another to have one at home and in the camper.
Thanks to whoever recommended that many pages ago!

I'm starting to get lazy and have a jar of Trader Joe's instant coffee on hand for those quick out the door mornings.

We have used this pot (12 cup) for 7 years. Works anywhere- campfire, stovetop. Makes GREAT coffee. I buy wrap around filters for easier cleanup.

Course Grind for the Percolator, otherwise Keurig
Usually my wife and I have one cup each in the morning, so Keurig was the best choice. But I always keep the Tim Hortons Course Grind ready for the percolator because let's be honest - nothing beats the Camp Coffee on the Coleman Stove!

We're officially stowing the old aluminum Percolator. MIL got a free Keurig (the most basic model) that will work great for the trailer! It shipped out to us last week, and we'll get a chance to try it out this weekend! We have the Keurig at home, so we always have pods, and we'll use up the last of our Folger's grounds we keep in the freezer just for the trailer with the "My Keurig" make-your-own pod.
I can see us still using the perc or possibly the French Press if we ever decide to boondock though, and the aluminum perc will likely be pressed back into service when backpacking begins again in a few years when DS is old enough.

Percolator (Coleman) I do this outside on a picnic table with a 2 burner. As I get up much earlier then wife I have time for my coffee and enjoy the outside - even on not so pleasant mornings....

I just bought a French press on a recommendation from someone on this site. I must say it makes good coffee for such a simple and low tech device. Maybe it was just bad technique on my part but, the Coleman percolator was painfully slow and the coffee ended up to hot when it was finally strong enough to drink.

Very interesting post. To answer the question as to how I make my coffee I make it by the pot full and drink it by the cup full. And when both get empty I start all over again.

K Cup single serve press
Didn't go thru all the posts, but I use this neat gadget. Its a non-powered single serve K Cup press. Just add hot water from microwave or fire. Its called CafeJo My French Press.

Careful the new ones are made so they wont work with the generic pods.. I took mine back because the pods had to have a bar code stamped on them to work.. if it says 2.0 the it wont work with the generics or the fill yourself pods..

I read that Keurig has backed off on this but I don't know exactly how it will be implemented or when. One change will be to allow you to fill a K-cup with your own coffee; something that was prevented with the 2.0. I don't own one so haven't really paid much attention to the issue.

I checked on this, it's just the little base model that you pour the water in the top, so it doesn't have that feature found on the 2.0. Even if it did, I don't use the generic pods anyway (at least not at this point, I've never really tried the generics; I found one or two I like and just stick to those and they all happen to be licensed), so it doesn't really bother me.
My dad got all up in arms about it and went with another machine that uses whatever pods you got, his wife LOVES her Keurig, so they literally have 2 coffee makers sitting on their counter at home; his and hers!

We use a glass 10 cup percolator for times when we are not plugged in.
Approx. 1 coffee measure (about 1 tblsp.) for each 3 - 4 cups of water, then add "one for the pot" .
Why not try it out on your home stove first, after the water starts to boil, lower the heat to avoid boiling over, but allow to boil/percolate for a few minutes until it reaches your desired strength.
The smell of fresh percolated coffee is worth the effort, and by experimenting with the timing at home first, you'll be an old hand in no time.
