We use a Tassimo that was demoted at home to make room for a Keurig. It uses a brewing system very similar to the Keurig, and is just as good, if not better, but has a very limited number of available choices of their T-discs, when compared to what's out there for the Keurigs. Tim Horton's is available for the Tassimo, which makes me very happy, as I'm a straight up medium bold drinker. DW uses a variety of teas and cappucino types of drinks.

I brew with the Nespresso Coffee Machine and it's a single cup process. It's a little $$ but we like the strong flavors. It takes up very little room and we use distilled water.

I perk my coffee in an old enameled percolater. Three scoops in the basket and then on the fire cooking grate until it perks the first few times. Then I move it to the the swinging shelf and move it about half way off the heat zone and let it slow perk for about 10 minutes. Take the grounds basket out and the morning's first cup is ready to go.

If we're in the Rockies, I may even add a couple of small pine cones (closed) to the basket for added flavor. The key is the slow perk phase, if you let perk on high heat you'll just blow the coffee out of the spout.....a waste of good coffee.

Nothing like a cup of steaming coffee on a 30-40 degree morning, watching the sun come up, hearing the water gurgling past in the stream and mentally planning your fly fishing excursion. Throw some cooking sausage, biscuits in a dutch oven, a couple of eggs (over medium please), and some white gravy made with a can of condensed milk and you've got a feast to start your morning.

Have you tried a french press? I use a french press at home, and have a Tassimo as well for 1 cuppers. But, I use a stove top stainless percolator at the cabin where I have a Coleman propane cooktop. The secret to not having it boil over on you is to only fill the pot with enough water to just touch the bottom of the grounds basket. Add coffee to the basket, about a tbsp. for each cup of water. I add a pinch of salt and cinnamon to ours as well. The salt helps to keep the grounds that escape at the bottom of the pot and the cinnamon, just 'cause I like the flavour! You can't just turn it on and leave it though. You need to be close at hand to turn the flame down as soon as it starts to perk. You want a nice steady perk. Let it perk for 3-4 minutes and then turn it off. Let is sit for a 1/2 a minute to settle and then enjoy! One thing I do to save on cleanup (at the cabin I have to haul all the water from the lake, so each drop is precious!) is to use a paper drip coffee filter in the basket. I just tear a little hole in the bottom of one and pop it over the stem in the basket, add the coffee and then fold the top of the filter over the grounds and add the basket cover.
Another option is the old Melita coffee system. Easy to clean up, comes in different sizes and good coffee!

We have been bringing our Cuisinart SS700 Kcup machine from home as they are too expensive to get one just for the camper and we like the options on it. Like a rinse function to clean out the flavored coffee my wife drinks before I make my plain ol strong coffee !!

Have the Keurig that makes only one cup at a time. Am the only one who drinks coffee. Works well, makes a good cup of coffee and easily stored.

For an tea drinkers....I just bought a 'teapot' from David's Teas that is the coolest thing ever! You put the loose tea or tea bag into the put (which is acrylic) pour in your boiling water and then let it steep. Then the magic happens! You place the base of the tea pot over your cup and let it rest on it. The tea comes out of the bottom of the pot into your cup, no leaves or bags. Wonderful especially if you like loose teas! Comes in 2 sizes.

Reading all these responses, I'm reminded of the Pace commercial with the cowboys and the new guy who gets his sauce from NEW YORK CITY! I can just see myself pulling out a french press on a cattle drive....."no thanks, I can make my own.....". I can only hope there isn't a branding iron close by and hot....

I like the French Press, also have a small grinder to grind the beans fresh when we're going to make the coffee. I wouldn't mind a Keurig but it becomes a question of counter space and I like my sm toaster oven sitting on the counter.

What I like about my Cuisinart K cup machine is it has a rinse feature. It will put 2 or 3 ounces of hot water through to rinse and residual from whatever you last made. My wife likes flavored coffee and I do not so that is a great feature to have !!

What I did for years was pick up the carafe and poor coffee into my cup. But now I have to pick up a K-cup and put it in the machine and push a button.. I don't call this progress.

You, sir, are a connoisseur !

French Press also while camping; Cuisinart grind and brew at home. Keurig makes the worst coffee.
