We have used the 6 qt unit for a couple of years and it gets used at least twice weekly. My wife loves it so much we bought the 3 qt unit for camping and used it all summer. We won't leave home without it. We eat lots of beans and soups and the InstaPot shines with those meals.

We had an off brand version of an Insta Pot and it worked well until it broke. Just purchased an Insta Pot with the air fry lid and wow, so much versatility. Now I can slow cook like a crock pot, pressure cook, rice cook, bake or air fry all with one appliance. Admittedly it is a large heavy appliance but it serves the role of many things so I forgive it. So far I’ve made my normal pressure cooked meals in it and it’s worked flawlessly. It has a dual level air fry rack so I fried up some naked chicken wings then brushed them with BBQ, so good. I’m not sorry I bought it that’s for sure

I would not spend the high price on an Instant Pot....I have two insignia's best buy has them on sale now 39.99... one for home and one for the RV. I have a 2 qt air fryer and a 6 qt pressure cooker. You want smores when it is raining the air fryer does it in about 1 minute 15 seconds at 390 degrees. You want the best salmon you ever tasted in your life (with proper seasoning) the Air Fryer does it in 7 minutes at 390. You want chicken wings the Air Fryer does it 30 minutes. Left over pizza 3 minutes, Frozen French fries the air fryer does it in about 13 minutes. In the pressure cooker, I do pinto beans in 45 minutes, the best beef tips in 45 minutes, rice in 8 minutes, Louisiana shrimp boil 19 minutes, rack of ribs 50 minutes, the best baked potato you ever had in 27 - 30 minutes. Creamy Rigatoni and Sausage 5 minutes. You want good tasting beans and or soup put it in a pressure cooker for 5 minutes the gadget locks in the flavors. I have been using both an air fryer and an electric pressure cooker for many years at home and on the road. Cannot do without them..... little tip if you use it in the motorhome.... I also fast release the pressure outside of the RV..... I will allow a slow release of the steam inside but not the fast release as their is a lot of steam and it will reach the ceiling. Happy Cooking.

Yeah, I said the same thing until I needed a simple seal to make this off brand one work again. Customer service is just an automated mess that leads nowhere. I’ll spend more money for an item I can get help with if I need it.

Ours did too, honestly I had it for almost 5 years with no issues. It’s just frustrating when a little seal that maybe costs $1 put it out of commission. I keep trying to chase one down but no joy.

I got the Insta Pot and figured I’d keep this one around as a spare if I ever find a seal

I'm the cook at our house and have all the gadgets. Each has it's place, but the big differentiation for my money...Crock Pot = long time from start to sit down and eat. The Instant Pots = short time from start to sit down and eat. The same recipe done in each will come out a bit different, but edible. My instant pot has a crock pot setting, but I've never used it.

The one thing the instant pot excels at is making a stellar broth/stock. Something that a crock pot can't do.

I have one at home and love it. I use it frequently. I would put one in the trailer if I hooked up to shore power. I boondock, so to use it I would have to run the generator, something I try to avoid unless I need to. When camping I prefer to use the bbq to cook with.

I’d suggest an instant pot with the sous vide setting.. steaks sous vide then seared on the grill is tough to beat!

Yes! An IP is worth the cash. My Wife and I recently upgraded and got the Instant Pot Air Duo which doubles as an air fryer, best money spent on a kitchen appliance. We take it with us camping and makes meals super easy.

We have one. My wife thinks it's the greatest invention since sliced bread but I'm not so happy with it. We had a rice cooker that cooked rice faster than the instapot so for that task, it stinks. The cooking part is faster but on certain meals, it takes a long time to seal and a long time to release pressure naturally.

We got the IP Duo. DW made 2 pot roasts in the past 3 weeks. The first was a Sous Vide recipe. 48 hours to cook a pot roast. Today was the slow cooker version. Today's was about 6 hours and far better than the Sous Vide method. We have also did wings using 5 minutes under pressure and then crisped up with the air fryer.

We are still not convinced it is worth the money.

I love using mine at home. The longer I have it the I discover more ways to use it. I made cranberry sauce in 5 minutes and cooked potatoes for mashed potatoes in 12 minutes. I’m not hi king about getting one for the TT.

Santa brought one of those for the DW. We've used it twice now, and found a bit of a learning curve with it. We like it so far, but found it makes some of the thicker pastas el dente. Still figuring it out.

HINT: if a recipe calls for cheese in it, if at all possible, put it on after you serve, or you'll have fun cleaning the bottom of the pot. Ask how I know...

We made a beef and noodle recipe this evening. It came out really well. 28 min total. I call it a success and can't wait to try something else.

I will keep that in mind about the cheese. I would imagine that it would make quite a mess.

Mozzarella doesn't play well with the bottom of the pot...

I have an Inastapot I got for Christmas 2019 and make stew in it.. And corned beef.. but have never used it as much as I might I don't like what it does to homemade pea and lentil soup. As a slow cooker its lacking. As a pressure cooker very good.
