Kim, I have been wanting a perculator coffee pot. lol I am not even sure how to use it!! I think my parents had one. Sounds like a good idea for camping tho.
What is a good make and model for the perculator???

This is what my Granparents used until their passing. Loved the sound and the smell of the coffee in the morning when I was a kid (So long ago.)

Kathie,
I purchased this one. It is the 14 cup model and it can be used over campfire or on stove top. It does turn black over campfire, but washes off after thorough washing. I've seen them in camping stores, as well, but I bought mine through here.

I'm with CM. Bottle of a clear and brown liquor always socked away for the really hard days and always some pop of the barley variety in the fridge for mid way through setup. Just one of course...makes it more relaxing for me. Then I can have the rest. Coffee is DW's must have along with a variety of specialty creamers...
