2018 Models

All,

New to the forums. Looking to move from a motorhome to a toyhauler and was curious if anyone knows the normal month of the year the 2018s will start being released (or floorplans discussed)? Thanks in advance for your help!

The big RV Trade Show just ended on the 1st. Many of the new units are displayed there for the dealers so your local dealer may have a few "secrets" to share.

Spring usually, I think.

When I bought my '16 Seismic Wave last April, the dealers did not have details at that time about the '17 models. I was told the first '17s were scheduled to roll out of the factory in early June. Not sure if those time frames are consistent year to year?

June is probably closer to correct. People go crazy buying in spring and gotta sell off as many 17's as possible.

Before you know it you'll be able to buy 2 model years ahead. I never agreed with it but that's marketing and sales.

2018 Models

We ordered our 2017 this past April (2016). We initiated the process near the end of March and it was for a 2016 28BHBE. We finalized the order around the end of the first week of April and we were told it may be a 2017. Our sales lady called a few days later to confirm it would be a 2017.

I don't believe every model updates at the exact same time either... but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately it's a sign of the times when it comes to retail. We are already 2 holidays ahead as Christmas stuff is out in stores before Halloween. It's very sad...

Not to steer the thread off course, but on a very related issue......

Something is to be said for purchasing prior year models that may still be in inventory with dealers. I purchased my 2016 model year in Sep of this year and received a HUGE discount, when compared to what they would let me have the 2017 for. I still received a 2 year warranty from date of purchase.

Last week placed the order for a 2018 jayco Eagle 330rsts. Was told shipping in June. Don't know what if anything is changed from the 2017. I ordered it blind.
