Flexing & noises typical?

I have a couple of questions that relate to leveling the 5th wheel.

First off, should the slideouts ONLY be used if the 5er is completely level? I've noticed my main slide out around the seal isn't as tight on both sides, so it's either the body is flexing because it's not on 100% flat surface in my side yard or the slide out isn't getting pulled in even. So I wasn't sure if you shouldn't use the slide out unless the 5er is level - dealer never warned me about this.

Secondly, when I'm leveling the 5er with the 6 point Lippert system, the windows and around the slide outs make cracking and popping noises, again, is this normal cause it sounds terrible.

I know when I hand-tighten the stabilizers on my cheap TT, a certain amount of creaking and snapping is quite normal as the corners are now being supported from directly underneath, rather than for the middle.

The back end actually moves about 1/4" as the stabilizer takes the load.

The front end doesn't move at all (already on the tongue jack), but a little creaking as the wood-like substance "exterior wall" squirms under the aluminum foil "exterior siding.

Yes, the 5er should be level before you extend the slides. Mine makes all sorts of popping sounds when hitching and un-hitching (I don't have auto level). A gap also appears at the outside bottom trim piece where the 5er extends over the truck bed when hitching (sorry, no picture). The gap goes away when un-hitching. Not a large gap but about 1/8". Enough that I needed to re-caulk it.
