Happijac Bed Modification?

DW and I have a 2014 Octane 161, the Happijac bed only comes down about half way, requiring a latter to get on or off the bed, which is not expectable for us. I bought the Octane knowing that I would modify the Happijac bed.

I plan on replacing the rails to longer ones, so that the bed will lower to a height which would be easier to get on and off. This height would be just above the install furniture when in the sleeping position.

Question

I am interested in the wall blocking below the stock Happijac bed rails, which will come to about one foot off the fender wells.

Thanks for your help.
