Happijac electric bed question

I tried the search function but didn't find my answer;
I will be picking up a 2007 Octane with the dual queen electric lift beds later this week. My understanding is that the lift system is build by Happijac, and that the top bed can be pinned in place so that it doesn't lower?
I'm also learning that I can stop the lower bed where ever I want and that the brakes will hold it there?
Just looking for confirmation that I am correct on these thoughts before I break something.
Thanks,
Mez

You would be correct. there are 4 pins that will hold the top bunk in place at the upper position so you can use the lower as sofas without banging your head. Mine didn't come with the pins but you can get them online.
