Sensors and calibration have no bearing on the rear units ability to do the lifting. When on rare occasion it levels correctly, it's perfectly level, tells me it's calibrated, the jack just can't lift the rear end. JTSromsburg thanks for the feedback.

I have a New 2015 4212, leveling problems just like everyone on here. Mine goes back in Tuesday for a 7 Warranty issues............last week the front left jack pin completly seared off while unhooking. It was in autolevel mode, thankfully the middle jacks caught it.
There is some significant safety issues here...........

Unbelievable. When the 2016 was released and the new 4xxx series I was blown away they didn't go to LevelUp like all other manufacturers. Try here as well:

The first thread link I gave you is pretty current. Maybe give us some details there. Ground control 2 or 3?

Congrats on the purchase of a beautiful and awesome design. Bought my 3914 right before Heartland released the side porch design then Jayco came a year later. When you get a chance post in the first link I gave you and maybe provide some details on the leveling issues and others. Thank got the mids caught the front end and it didn't hit the ground.

Agreed with P25ct. Sounds like some discussion will be happening with a dealer. From the accounts I'm hearing I'm almost glad I have ground control 2. Sounds like 3 is worse! (If that's even possible).

I am also having same issue as every else, out of stroke. Today pulled in to my spot, out of level front to back .4 and side to side .6. Hit auto level, out of stroke code. Retracted all jacks, hooked up jumper cable to truck as p25ct mentioned and system worked perfect. Not enough battery capacity for this system. At least I know I can hook it up to my truck and the system will work fine.

Lippert also recommends a group 27 battery at least. I had to tell my dealer about that to get one, as they only supply group 24s typically. The group 27 helped a little. With enough amperage and volts, the system will work, but only to about 1.5 side to side. After that, you are back to boards. As a comparison, I had the hydraulic level up system level my old fifth wheel from 4.0 side to side, and it is rated for 6.0 degrees. Picked the wheels right off the ground. There is a growing number of people that are dissatisfied with this system because it is junk. We shouldn't have to plug in the camper or hook up the truck to get enough amps or volts. 0.6 is darn near level to begin with, and the camper couldn't handle it stock. That is the mark of an inadequate system. Maybe if we all start calling Jayco repeatedly.........

Roto, yes the power from the vehicles 13.8v alternator does indeed help. However, if you go to higher angles requiring more lift (1.2+) side to side that extra power from the truck runs out too. It does help though. What that tells us is that voltage is dropping at the jacks. I firmly believe the run of wire from the controller to the jacks is way way too small and requires a much higher gauge to maintain voltage and get the current back there. In theory, a group 27 is rated for massive amounts of amps per hour. Think about what a large vehicle starter pulls. I need to free up some time to do voltage tests along the current path. As I said before I'm convinced it's a power delivery issue and if not, I firmly believe you can't lift a 10 ton 45 foot Coach with a small electric motor. My 3914 has a very heavy load over the curb side axles, which is the kitchen slide, cabinets, etc. it all sits right back there, that rear curb jack is the weakest link, followed by the street side rear. When both front and back pull power to lift one entire side, that's when it also says game over. I'm not sure is Jayco has some back door deal with Lippert to be the only buyer of 6pt electrical leveling systems. I believe there are now 6 or 7 manufacturers of luxury crossover toy haulers, every other one of them uses LevelUp. "Reasonably level ground". That's their out.
Maybe we can all get a group deal on Bigfoot Hydraulic Leveling Systems. I'd be happy if Jayco gave me back my 3k+ for the system so I can put it toward the Bigfoot.
The other weak point is the Schwintek 12+ foot slide rooms. Again little motors where a hydraulic cylinder should operate. This was my first RV, and last for a while (can't afford to lose 20k on another new one already). Boy did I learn a whole lot, way too late. Truth be told I got my near loaded '14 3914 for 55k$. We were in the price ballpark for a Eagle, so I was never ready or prepared to shell out the 80k-95k$ for a 4000 2015+ unit or a 4200 Cyclone.

Anyway long story short. I believe we all need to get together somehow on here and address this as a group to Jayco. I wonder how many owners not on the forum are out there scratching their heads too. Thanks for the sharing of info!

Middle jacks never hit the ground even with pads. Spring loaded pins shearing off......out of stroke errors. I am fed up. Class action suit?

We probably have a quorum of at least 5 here with similar issues. Other avenues are BBB and similar organizations, Consumer Protection Agency, etc.

Hey Terry, do you have a 4212 with the 3.0? Don't they have like 6 Batteries in the Gen Compartment? When I saw that change for 2016 with the 3.0 electric system Infigured it was partly for the Reefer Inverter and partly for the GC3.0.

Leveling Problems

That's the link for the Bigfoot Aftermarket Hydraulic system for 5ers. Jayco says they don't install hydraulic systems because you can't retract one stuck jack if it's stuck down. This system uses 6 independent reservoirs at each jack as well as self contained valves etc for each jack giving you ability to retract one if it is stuck down. Also that means just running 12v to each jack, which is already there for the Ground Control we have. It is pricey, 4k$ and 800$ for installation at the factory. I've stressed over this leveling system since last April. I'd pay 4500 to have piece of mind back. Anyway, just wanted to share. Id like to hand deliver my ground control box of garbage to Jayco after it's removed. Have a great weekend guys and gals. If you're out on a site, just enjoy and don't worry about this until some other day.

No. I have a 2015 3912 with 2.0 and only enough room for 2 batteries.
