Question Seismic 4212 garage bunk ladder

So the DW and I took ownership of a brand new Seismic 4212 2 weeks ago. Last week on the shake out trip we were noting a few issues. We discovered some missing items, 1 table leg, the spare tire jack handle, and no ladder for the bunk in the garage. I called the dealer, they said "no problem, we will order those things immediately". They called me back and said Jayco does not put a ladder in for the bunk in the garage. If that is indeed the fact, what are others doing for access to that bunk. It seems as it would be one heckuva jump or leap to get in that bunk if using the bottom as a bunk as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a different manufacturer so I can't speak for Jayco. Our toy hauler came with a ladder for the loft bunk. The garage bunk did not come with a ladder. I did purchase a ladder online that works out very well. It's lightweight and sturdy enough for the kids.

A quick Google search will probably lead you to acceptable choices. I would measure the height of the garage bunk before ordering.

We got two ladders with out 400W. A ladder for the loft, and a ladder for the bunk in the garage. They are different. The loft ladder is longer. I'd call jayco directly. They are full of poop. Call 1800-283-8267. Pick option 2, and then option 1. Within a few minutes you will be speaking with an American person. They will help you.

When we bought our 4250 last year, the salesman told me that the unit did come with a ladder for the garage. I asked him to show me how to get in the bed, when couldn't........He ordered me a ladder........

So I called Jayco this morning, thanks Heath Hambone, and they said a ladder is not provided and that several people have complained so they have been forwarding the complaints to the engineering dept for a resolution. But no changes in the works at this time.

Frustrating I know. Honestly, I would rather have the aftermarket ladder than what came from the factory for the loft bunk. The aftermarket ladder is much lighter weight and includes hardware to attach it to the garage bunk.

The factory ladder for the loft bunk is long and heavy and if one of my kids moved it around would probably cause some damage…

Stromberg is the company who made the ladder I purchased. They have multiple lengths available.

I bought out 4212 last year and yes ours did come with a ladder for the rear bunks. The loft has the ladder built into the door.

My 2017 4212 came in without a garage bunk ladder. Dealer had a 4213 on lot that did have ladder. They gave us that one. I don't like the ladder it is to long. When top bunk is in sleeping position ladder is about 3 feet taller than bunk.

That's crazy. It's sounds like they gave you a loft ladder. I don't know though.

Garage ladder

We never got a ladder for our 4212 either, Jayco stated it didn't come with one? This is a never ending list of issues we have had with our 4212.

We only got the cheap metal one for the loft in our 2017 355w. I just got a tall 4 step ladder to get onto the bed. I mounted some friction clamps and store it behind the door to the garage to main living area. It does the job and is usefully in many other areas as well.
