TH forum is DOA

Joined Jayco forum because I thought it would be a good place to interface with other Jayco owners....but not really...5er section is alive and well, but appears no one want's or owns any of the newer Jayco TH's...makes me under if i went with the right manufacturer.....Guess I'll find out over time

RV.net TH section is more active, but even harder to find a Jayco owner..most going with Grand Design TH's...Fuzion's, WW's, etc..

oh well.........

A very small majority, based on total sales, even post here so I wouldn't feel you bought wrong.

It would be interesting to have some stats on how many of each model Jayco are sold. That said, don't be discouraged. You can be the leader of the pack.

We see a good many TH's on the road and in cg's but nothing like fivers and travel trailers.

I in the last 3 months bought a new 16 octane sl 222, Im doing some mods to it and will keep it for about a year or so and than im going to get the octane sl 272 floor plan. My dealer even said that TH were a small part of travel trailers population, thats ok. I like mine a lot and have already enjoyed being out in it about ten times.

I see a good many and am surprised how versatile they are. Some use them for screen rooms or dog houses. Another lady ran a business from it.

Only thing is they tend to be on the largest and heaviest end of the selection and may just want something for the family.

Kind of curious.....

You've had you new TH for three months and are already planning a new one next year? Do you mind sharing what is wrong?

I see a lot of the Jayco TH on the road. Seems they just don't have time to join the Forum as they are too busy with their toys! LOL
Welcome to the Forum and "Welcome Home!"

Actually, I don't have ANY toy's...The wife and I are retiring end of July, (I'll be 66)...We're going to full time in it and move around...Purchased the TH for more storage room...Like the 2yr warranty and purchased a 7 yr extended warranty..."just in case"..I got the truck to tow it with, and just ordered a 16' like one in my sig, except 16' has rear air assist, and extra camera where you can see bed of your truck, ( good for backing into TH to hook up), and a few other extras,

Most other forums are 5er's first, TT's second and TH's last..you are correct.

...and welcome home to you and thanks for your service

I bought a used Octane 161 a couple of years ago instead of a box truck to transport a PA system. Also use it to transport racebikes but we are buying a T32C for that once some used ones are on the market so the whole family can have some room. Been well pleased with the Jayco, it's so much better than the Keystone we had before there is no comparison.

We have a 2014 Jayco Octane 29, purchased new in Sept 2013. I believe, like us, most TH owners participate in general forums and only go to the TH forums for items specific to TH's. In our case it was about a rear ramp door. Every other thing we have learned from the forums pertain to all model TT's generally. Just my observation.

Nice..Thanks everyone..Most post we've had in quite awhile in her.

I purchased TH in my sig on Aug 17th...Aug. 19th, I had a stroke and believe it not, my nth is STILL at the dealers lot...They've been really good to the wife and I and we haven't even towed it or camped in it yet...I'm rehabbing and am hoping to take it out by 1st. of April. At 65, will be retiring 1st of Aug, (turn 66 late July)

Guess i I couldn't camp yet...I wanted to talk about the Jayco TH's and I'm on quite a few RV sits.

Thanks to all those who have replied

Jim

Living out West in Toy Hauler Country, I can tell you their are toy Haulers everywhere here, Jayco has not had a huge impact in the F/W Toy Hauler segment over the years, The Octane has had a impact especially in Canada market place. Octane 2 years ago was #1 in Canada.
Jayco hired the product Manager from Heartland who did the Road Warrior product line. Thus the 4212 and 4112 product has increased Jayco TH sales. I retired from Camping World and Fuzion (Keystone) and Road Warrior (Heartland) are the sellers. Jayco TH are hard to get due to limited production capacity. The 4212 last year out sold the whole F/W Toy Hauler line from 2014 and 2013 combined at Jayco.
I own a 4212 and made the right decision.

Hi,, I LOVE my jayco, Im not going to say one bad thing about it. For the price I paid, its worth every penny and I think its better than some TH on the market that I looked at that were more money. When I was shopping,i had a 14 Silverado half ton and just to be safe I bought the 222 floor plan over the 273 floor plan. After a couple of outings with the half ton pulling my Th I just did not like the way the truck felt or me driving it. made me I guess you could say nervous even with a WDH .One of the selling points on the model I bought says "half ton capable " Go figure,,,So I decided after about the 3rd outing that I was going to get a 16 2500hd duramax diesel like I have always wanted but could not justify it because I had nothing beside a 16 ft long cargo trailer. the first time out with the diesel pulling my jayco felt great, i at times do not even know its back there. Its a night and day difference. So you ask why is it in a year ill be buying another jayco TH ? I bought this jayco because I wanted to be cautious and didn't really think my truck would pull the 273 jayco, even though the dealer said it would and all that in the books that said it was with in the limits. Im glad and happy I went with the sl octane 222, Im doing all the little stuff modifications and got all the necessary rv stuff to go out for a extended time period. Im new to Rv. its Fun to work on my TH, I enjoy doing it by myself what ever im doing to it. I learn more about the TH and how its put together. Plus the way I look at it is why take it somewhere to get it worked on at $105 an hour [ is the rate I saw at a service center when I was looking for a extra power cord locally } when I like to learn how to do it and have the time for the most part. The next time doing what I have done ill have a little more knowledge of how to do it and what exactly I want to do to the next jayco Th in about a year. I like the 273 floor plan or the t31 TH is what ill be shopping for, plus I got a truck that will pull either one. I haul dirt bikes in the back when I go to the track or trails with friends. Its kinda funny,,one of my friends said we need to get a Polaris razor and go ride, we can sit down in it and drive. A bike your always on your feet on the pegs, and I said to my friend, a razor does not jump doubles and stuff, he said we are getting too old to worry about that !! I just laughed

Fret not I'm still here! She's been in storage for the winter so I haven't been active. Now that spring is here I'll be pulling her out of the building and taking it to dealer for some fixes from post delivery last October. Had it for a month then we put her away Nov 1 so didn't have chance to get it back in.

So here's to a successful and safe and worry free 2016 season!

I'm a 2016 4112 owner and previous 2014 3914 owner. I believe you won't see many Jayco Seismic or Octane owners out there because they are pricier, but, leveling systems notwithstanding [emoji12] they are a good product. The GD Momentum is a darn good product as well, however I wouldn't buy one despite how much I was impressed with the build due to their unstable and uncertain future.

To all new 2016 and late 2015 members welcome!

Good to see you back, and really appreciate the TH owners post...
