Water capacity

I have a 2017 4113 and only have around 65 gallons of fresh water capacity. The specs say 146 with hot water what am I missing. Anyone with a 2017 how much water do you have?

I have the same misgivings about my 17 355w. I am waiting to get a water meter in from Amazon to actually see how much it takes to fill. The brochure I was given before buying said 146, but the website says 68. Well see what I come up with. If anyone else has any insight on this please let us know.

I don't see the 146 number you stated on the Jayce website. Only the fresh capacity. Usually they add the wh to that but the 146 I can't find?

Even if one was gallons and the other liters, it doesn't compute.

I got confirmation from jayco regional rep that I just have 2 68 gal tanks with single fill.

One thing I just thought of...check your vin placard to see what the true weight from the factory is. Mine adds up to 146 bit I'm not sure I get that much into the tanks and water heater.

Did you ever figure anything out? Did you get the meter and if so how much water?
I can't get in to dealer for 2 months so no fix for me yet.

I haven't taken the rig out lately, but I did procure the meter so I will post my findings once I need to fill the tank. We filled our swimming pool this month so I'm trying to avoid jumping into an even higher usage tier if it can be avoided. SoCal water can get expensive quick.

I think you'll be happy with it...i probably caught you on your other post but take the time to do a long pdi...dealers are mysteriously more responsive before you give them money.

68 x 2 = 136
plus 10 gal wh = 146

is that right?

According to the website and the VIN placard, yes. Mine seems to run dry way sooner than it should hence the water meter test I'd plan to run.

I almost ran out of water camping so when I went back to the dealer for my 90 day inspection I had them check the size of the tank or tanks and check the light bar gauge for accuracy. I was told there was 2- 34 gal tanks and that there was still 15 gallons of water when it showed empty. I saw on a post that the inspection sticker has the weight limit of the water tanks, mine says 1179 lbs which is 142 gal plus a water heater. the dealer said it was 6 gallon but it looks alot bigger. I have a 2018 t33l jayco, thanks.

We have an 2018 talon 413t and my buddy has a 2018 4214 seismic. Both have a 6 gallon hot water with an 18 gallon an hour recovery with gas and electric on. Both also have 2 68 gallon fresh water tanks. I use the water from the tanks even if I have full hook ups because I dont like the water sitting in the hose and becoming hot. And I can go 4 days on a full tank. But we dont waste water unnecessarily. Most goes for showers. 2 adults 2 kids....

Welcome to the forum.

I sincerely hope your dealer and the technicians are accurate and trustworthy. HOWEVER, if knowing how much water you have in your tanks is important to your camping enjoyment, I suggest that if at all possible, that you take the time and make the checks yourself; a 'trust, but verify' thing.

In addition, IMO, the 'light bar gauge' is not very accurate. For fresh water it might be satisfactory, but for most the gray and black tank readings are often inconsistent and not always trustworthy.

for 2018 t33l comment
we just purchased three of these T33Ls for my self and son and friend the manufacture says they come with two 68 gallon tanks and a six gallon heater. if you peel back the underbelly and measure there are two 68 gallon tanks however at about 62 gallons it starts running out the vent tubes so we installed valves to close them slightly while filling so to still allow air out. I can get about 120 gallons in it and then I shut off water and close valves. to fill is a very slow process DO NOT use high pressure to fill fill very slow. my buddy filled his to 130 gallons a little to fast and had a big bulge in the floor in the trailer. very scary on a new trailer, we have meters

sorry our T33Ls are 2019s but should be the same the brochures say 68 gallons or so but the weight sticker proves what the manufacture told me and the measurements don't lie
