What is the deal with this table?

We have a Octane 273 (2017). It came with this table that was under the mattress of the top bed.

We can't figure out the best way to store this table. If you leave it there, it is heavy (20lbs?) and will eventually wear holes in the cheap material that borders that bed as you take it in and out and rub the edge even a few times.

It is also a hassel to get to. You have to take out the pins, lower the whole bed, take the table out, raise the whole bed, put pins back in, lower just the lower bed to use for chairs. It's like a 15 minute ordeal.

Where else can you put this that is easier to deal with. We have strapped it to the floor between refrigerator and ATVs. Not a great solution.

Any other ideas?

We have an octane 265 and have 2 tables. We still haven't found a great spot to store them. Our last 2 trips I put them on the top bunk then put pillows on too of them and then raised the bed to the ceiling. It held them in place the last 2 trips but they are still a pain to get up and down.

Thumbs down The Table

The "banquet" table that came w/our octane 222 sl is to heavy & cumbersome. Finding a convenient place to stow it has proven to be impossible, it now resides in the garage & occasionally the wife Kraft room.

Hey Jayco a majority of owners are seniors & can't lift a "banquet" table!

I've used the bed (in bedroom). Rides pretty good there.

I took mine out of the camper and just use a plastic folding table. Easier to store and handle.

If this table is as cumberson as the one in our White Hawk, we can relate. The H pattern on the bottom of the legs makes it near impossible to get your feet into the U shaped dinette. We also use a plasric top card table that we store under the Murphy Bed mattress when traveling and TV trays like kneeslider.
