Bedroom tv quality

I put a blue ray in the player turned on the bedroom tv and the picture quality was terrible. This is a brand new 2016 precept 35s. Could be the tv or the matrix?

Every single cable in our AV system was loose. I found this out while vacuuming out construction debris that was behind and under cabinets. I also found that the TV elevator frame was crushing the wire loom with all the AV cables when putting the T V down. I' ve been an electrician for over 33 years and the wiring in our coach is really shi-ty. I found loose connections on all the terminals in the battery compartment on the solenoid and relays and spent 2 hours crawling around under the coach with a bag of cable ties to properly tie wires and wire looms that were just dangling. The wiring under the bed makes my eyes hurt. This fall when it cools down I'll go thru that cluster f-ck and get it cleaned up.

Vicr; that's always my first job too when acquiring a RV. never see such a ****ty work as in the RV industry. Electrical, plumbing, Propane and heating they all get a turn for clean up.

Had the SAME problems with our Greyhawk 31FK. We had Jayco pay for a service call. Two techs spent 4 hours fixing things. But we still HATED the cluster of wires under the bed. It made the bed hot and buzzed / fans. It was one of the reasons we traded and moved up and moved on. I suggest anyone with loose wires / poor installation make it a warranty issue.

When we bought our 2014 fiver new the water pump stayed on too long and about every half hour came back on for a few seconds, letting me know right away there was a bad connection. Took wall down in basement and tightened probably 12 water connections which were barely finger tight. I am sure I will deal with many of those issues when I pick up the new Jayco.

Try moving the HDMI cable to a different slot on the TV. I had the same problem.

Make sure there are no sharp bends in the cable.

Also straight wire the Blu-ray to the monitor and see what you get.

Change the cable if things are still not crystal clear. Then move the player and cables to another TV.

You'll know who's the troublemaker by then.

Don't have a Precept, but did you hook the Blu-Ray directly to the TV using an HDMI cable?

If not - do that first.
If you did, then yeah - first try same cable, different HDMI input on TV.
If still bad, try new HDMI cable.
If still bad - it's either the TV or the Blu-ray.

Your choices are: take Blu-ray to another TV and repeat above.
Or bring in a second Blu-Ray player and try it on the Precept TV.

That would be my debugging procedure.

We discovered the problem with the TV! It turned out that the TV was a Furrion... once we replaced it with a Samsung TV, the problem was solved! :-)
