my wife Kathy suggested after dumping and the level indicator still showing 2/3 full even you could not see anything through the poop hole. So we dumped ice in the tank and drove about 300 miles to the next dump station and dumped. Presto, indicator showed empty. I think part of our problem as material on the level indicator inside the tank, the ice helped clean it off. Will use this method at the end of every trip now.

Thanks for the info. After dumping my black water I always add 5 gallons of fresh water and dump that (we dont have a fancy flush hook up for our black water tank). Then I add 2.5 gallon of fresh water again, and through in a cleaner, so as I go down the road (heading home) it splashes around in the tank cleaning it. Also, the cleaner sits in there and keeps it fresh smelling. I dont know if all this is the right thing to do, but it works for me.
