Changing sofa on Precept 35S

DW and I have had a chance to use it a lot since last Wednesday and even tried to see how it worked as a bed. Well... has anyone changed theirs out for anything else and, if you did, please share the details.
Maybe we should have ordered it with the theater seating instead but, too late now.
If you're looking at one, seriously consider getting that option. While we haven't tried one, anything has to be better than this!

Our sofa in Precept 31UL leaves a great deal to be desired, and we are starting to explore options for changing to theater seating. Has anyone here actually done that?

Others have changed

There are threads relating to removal of the couch, either here or on the Precept sub-group. We are looking at doing the same thing with a love seat/recliner. Like you, I'm looking for ideas also. So far we have not found anything that fits within the space available.

Look at RecPro - we changed ours out and really like it. It only requires a few inches of wall clearance to work.

76" opening

Our 2 cushion couch is 76" wide, the Allure looks like it fits nicely. Nick, have you used this one?

From you signature it doesn't seem like you have a Precept, is that correct? When you changed yours out I'm assuming it's on the coach you indicate right?

Pardon my ignorance but where do I find the Precept sub-group?

Go to the yellow border near the top of the page and click on the "Community" tab. In the drop down box click on "Social Groups." When this page opens up there is a box on the right showing new groups but down at the bottom is a link to show all groups. Click on that and Precept Owners Group should be first in the list. There are many, many pages of threads going back to 2014 when the Precept first came out. Enjoy your newfound library...........

Have you ever really figured out how to change it into a bed? We have the feeling that we are missing something. If there were a video somewhere that showed the proper way to turn this couch into a bed, we would know if it was just us. And yes, as a couch, a footrest for this is a must. We are also thinking of pulling it out for the theater seating for comfort...

Dealer delivery inspection?

Did your dealer not show you how to make a bed out of the couch? Remove the cushions and the bottom section will pull up and fold out. the cushions will go back on the frame to make a sad excuse for a bed.

No one who has slept on the couch/bed likes it so it will eventually disappear to be replaced by a love seat/recliner.

All of our guests love the overhead bunk, sleeps well for such a thin mattress.
