The striker will only offer slight vertical adjustment to compensate door sag which occurs when the door is used to pull up on as you enter the coach resulting in hinge being tweaked.
Correct latch adjustment is needed to set depth and alignment of the latch pin heads so the door does not "drag" or "stick" on the striker plate when opened and closed. Sticking doors normally are caused by the latch pin heads contacting the latch plate. Allowing the door to fly back, even though it has a gas strut, can bend the whole hinge enough to effect latch depth. It is a good idea to hold door with your hand as it opens to prevent this.
Loosen the 4 screws INSIDE the latch with door open. Now find the 2 screws in door edge, one above the bolt and one below the bolt. Turning these screws will move entire latch assembly toward or away from the striker plate and will also align the pins to the striker slots. Be sure you get the heads of the pins located so they do not drag on the plate when door is closed. This is hard to describe but easy to see when you get into it.
Once the adjustment screws in door edge are correct, tighten the 4 screws on inside of latch nice and secure. It helps to have someone hold door as you do this.
