Exterior Bluetooth connection.

I have no trouble pairing my console radio with my iPhone 6 via Bluetooth. However, I am unable to make a Bluetooth connection between the same phone and the exterior entertainment center. I have made certain there is no active Bluetooth connection on the phone when trying to pair. Is this a malfunction with the external system? Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Steve

The outside stereo isn't Bluetooth on my 35S, what unit do you have?

My outside radio on our 2015 31UL is a Sony and is not Bluetooth enabled. What I did, however, was purchase a long 25 foot 3.5mm cable that plugs into the headphone jacks of my iphone and the Sony and I can play music/Sirius/Pandora/etc through the outside speakers and keep the phone with me on a chair or at the picnic table etc.

Another option is to connect a Bluetooth receiver to your exterior entertainment center using a 3.5mm cable. Then pair your phone to the receiver and you should be able to stream music from your iPhone to your entertainment center.

I have a Sony head unit in my 2015 Precept and haven't tried this method yet as i've just been using a 3.5mm cable similar to McGarrett50, but may try this now that i see it's a pretty cheap alternative to hard-wiring with the 3.5mm cable.
