fuse box

we have a 2015 precept and are having problems with power to the aux outlets in the cab, how do I get the power distribution box under the hood open so I can check fuses?

If you are referring to the 12v outlets the fuses are located in the face of the inverter behind the cover. It's under the bed. No coach fuses are under the hood only chassis fuses. And when all else fails read your owners manual.

FYI - Inverter on Precepts only power front outlets (driver/passenger) and tv galley. below is a email reply from Jayco regarding this...
---

here’s the deal…. Our inverters are to be considered a TV enhancement only, although we do run power from it to the cockpit. A lot of our competitors are running garbage 12V TV’s and pitching the fact they don’t have to run the generator to watch TV. The problem with that is 12V TV’s are horrible and don’t last. What we do, is give you a very nice TV, and then, spend extra monies on an inverter so you don’t have to run the generator.

Most MH’s in the Precept demographic don’t have invertors to run the interiors of the coach, you’ll typically have to go to a much more expensive unit to get that. It is a 1000 W invertor so it’ll handle more load than what the TV produces, however, a little wiring will need to be done at the dealer level.
