Gfi tripping

35 un trips gfi when I plug in just to cool fridge. Everything is off . Has done this since I got it but I am told nothing is wrong.
anyone else having this issue?

GFI's do fail and/or wear out. I would replace the GFI before looking for other causes. It could just be defective.

Could see if the frig is the issue. At home get an extension cord. Plug it into a gfi outlet in the garage, then plug the frig into that cord. If that gfi trips it probably is the frig.

But like edalanta said, gfi fail often and need to be replaced periodically.

Bad GFCI sounds like. I just replaced one in my house that kept tripping. Wrecked my brain trying to figure out what's wrong..thinking maybe something got wet. Couldn't find anything. My neighbor suggested replacing the socket and VOILA..done.
