Ground Clearance of Leveling Jacks

2017 Precept 31UL. Someone here mentioned that the retracted hydraulic leveling jacks should clear the pavement by 7 inches minimum. Does this track with what everyone else believes is reasonable? My rear jacks measure 5-1/2 inches clearance, one of the front ones measures 8-1/2 inches, and the other measures 9 inches. Do you think this is worth taking to a dealer for adjustment?

Are they retracting all the way? I took our 35S to Jayco a couple weeks ago to have a few things taken care of and they noticed my levelers weren't retracting. They told me that they can get air in the system and not retract. They extended them all the way and let the motorhome sit like that for about 15 minute, then cycled them through a couple times. The service manager said he knows everyone says not to raise the tires with the jacks, but they do this procedure all the time. Mine have always fully retracted since then.

We were told that Jayco recommends 10" clearance between the jack foot and the ground, when the unit is on level ground.
