Jayco Caulk Clean Up?

I don't know if Bigfoot exists, but I know that Bigfingers does and he applies caulking at the Jayco factory.

Anybody know how to remove the factory caulk that is smeared all over the place on the sides of my 2016 Alante? (Not the dicor on the roof) I tried my finger nail and couldn't budge it. So thought it was time to ask since I don't want to damage the finish.

3M Remover looks like it has better value and more effective.

I found a hardware store up here in the woods and I bought some mineral spirits. It worked great! It takes a little work but you can remove just the offending smears without damaging the chalking the should remain.

This also allows me to inspect the caulking on all the joints. I've found a couple gaps that "bigfingers" missed. I guess I can get some of this caulking from the dealer or Jayco - it does match the color well.

Does anyone know what color of OSI Caulk matches the beige fiberglass used on the 2016 Alante?

Lowe’s had #455 “Beige” but it is too dark. OSI has a color selector on the web, but I’m not too sure how accurate it is comparing the 455 I have in hand.

We have a non painted 2016 precept. Jayco sent me a tube of caulk and it's color was called champagne. If you're under warranty they will send some. Tell them you have a few gaps.

Same on my Alante, caulk smeared all over, and gaps. I had Jayco CS send me 3 tubes of matching caulk, part# 0247342, champ sealant #465, color Cobblestone. They also sent me 2 tubes of interior sealer. I guess the squeakier wheel gets the sealer I used an adhesive remover (Goo Gone) to remove the smears, works well and as you say leaves the good stuff. Found several gaps in the front cap joints. This also works well when you are renewing any spots to smooth out and help match up with the older caulk. just takes some elbow grease.
