Jayco Precept Over the Speed Limit Voice Warning

Recently we purchased a new 2015 Jayco Precept 31UL. So far we love the RV but I have found the voice over that warns you when you are traveling over the speed limit very annoying. I have been told there is a method to disable the warning. Does anyone know those steps?

Thank you, Hagler19

Leave your DW at home, perhaps?

That made me LOL! Now I have to figure out what to tell my DW what caused me to laugh out loud.

I don't know the exact steps, but I came across it in the menu a few times. I left it on as I sometimes get comfortable and forget I'm not driving my car.
When I go to the unit this weekend I'll find it and get back with you.

It's in the GPS

It's in the dash radio GPS functions. After several bouts of bashing by "the voice" I turned her off. I found the speedometer was not accurate ...REALLY. as compared to my GARMIN. So she was always a little too quick to nag me.

You can turn off the nagging voice or change the setting so you have to be a certain percentage over the limit before she barks at you. I reset mine to (I think) 10% over.

It is obvious that the speed limit database is not completely accurate. Mine will whine when I am running at or below the posted speed.

Hagler19 WELCOME TO THE FORUMS AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PRECEPT.
Like they said, work thru your dash GPS, radio settings. My biggest problem with the voice reminder is.............SHE'S ALWAYS RIGHT.......lol
