Leveling Question 31ul
Leveling system in my 2016 31UL is working well for the most part, with one exception. When using "auto" level, the rear jacks are always (a tad) higher than the fronts. It's not by much but maybe a 2 to 3" variance. The leveling board tells me "level", but when I check with a manual level, it slopes back to front. Side to side is normally OK. I have not used the manual system option to try and correct this, but have others noticed this? Could it have been set like this through the factory setting? Ideas or thoughts?

Does your UL have Bigfoot levelers? Our Greyhawk was a bit off of true with automatic leveling from the factory. I followed the Bigfoot manual's instructions on rezeroing the system. Now, when automatically leveled, we are.

If you read the owner's manual it will tell you how to recalibrate your jacks. Just make sure the fluid is up to the fill line.

I find the same situation - monitor shows green light for 'level'
But using leveler the MH is not true level.
On last drop off to dealer told them. They recalibrated.
I still think the won't be 100% level but close enough.
Plus, at dealers all the rvs have the slides out and none have
The jacks/levels down so I assume it's not critical.

i thought you all might enjoy this video from RV Geeks about "leveling".
It's interesting that in the beginning of the video it states -
that "Automatic" leveling almost never gets the MH 100% level and
usually to get it exactly it takes some minor tweeking.

We just went on our first trip and our front tires, when leveled, are about 6 inches off the ground, is this normal? Sorry if this is a stupid question but it was that way all day.

Having any tires off the ground is not preferred or recommended by many but there are many others who agree with whatever is level.
We have had our tires off the ground many times over the years without incident.
Whether it was the first coach at 22,000 lbs, the second, a diesel pusher at 44,000 lbs, or the current Jayco at 22,000 lbs, the jacks are rated to lift the coach off all fours if needed. Convenient for removing tires and other service as well.

Whether tires come off the ground depends on how steeply your site is sloped. I do not have a problem if the front tires are a few inches off the ground, but I don't want the rear tires elevated. Those are the only tires held by the parking brake. If you raise the rear tires on a sloping site, the only things preventing the RV from rolling are the lifters which puts undue lateral strain on them.

I watched the video on the level mate pro and purchased one. Very easy to install and set up. I used it for the first time yesterday at a camp ground and just by backing up a few inches I was able to go from a 6" drop to .25 with the help of this device. Now my jacks do very little travel and my coach is right on. This was a great buy and I am so glad I purchased this product. I hope to see some of you at the elkhart at the rally. Have a great day.
