Power booster location ?

Have a 2015 jayco precept 31ul, where is signal power booster box ? Can not get cable , air is Ok but cannot receive cable signal. Been told to turn off power booster as I have in previous RVs I have owned but I cannot find switch ? Camping world has no clue and Jayco rep said my new model does not have switch but in section 11-1 of manual it details turning off booster when hooking up cable ????

Usually it is a small black button on the 12v charger, should be located somewhere close to TV, it looks same as a car 12v charger, there is a small green led light on, it means that booster is on, press the button , the light will go off, booster is off, all it does is to send 12 v to the antenna to boost the signal

Mine is on the cable outlet plate. I think most of them are there.

This unit has a pop up TV in main cabin, one in bedroom and one outside. I have looked the unit over and can not locate. I have owned several RVs in the past and know what you are describing. I called Camping world thinking I had forgotten where he said it was but got no answer. I then called Jayco service and was told this unit no longer had the booster switch ? The manual discusses turning off on page 11-1 but does not show location ?

You are right, manual states to turn it off but no location, look at the picture, it is an outside tv compartment, on the right side is a silver plate that looks like a power booster, not clear enough to be sure

I've seen them in the master bed room closet. Where is the antenna? It should be close to the antenna.

The switch is in the front overhead compartment above the passenger seat. You should see a green light when using the batwing over the air antenna and a small button to turn it off when using satellite.

I had one that was in the compartment where the TV lives when it is in the storage position. I had to stick my arm in the slot to access the switch. I am not sure where it is in our current trailer but that is the first place I will look.

31ul antenna power booster location

Thanks to Dick Gore RV in Jacksonville Fl for helping me locate power booster. Dana Drake called Jayco Dealer in Ocean Grove Fl and service dept. Said to look behind bedroom TV unit. The TV tilts up to reveal a "secret " storage area where the booster switch is located.

I got absolutely NO help from Camping World who sold the unit. After checking with two locations they seemed to think it funny and told me to keep looking. I even called Jayco hotline and was told that unit did not have a booster.

So much for Camping World service, I never even got a call back !

We just purchased a 31UL. The power switch you are referring to is behind the bedroom TV. The TV flips up to gain access. On the right side you will see a push button to turn on or off. When the light is on power is on. Hope this helps

ED226,
My power booster is in the right cabinet in front of the passenger seat.

I recently replace the stock booster with a Winegard Sensar Pro. Ours is located in the cabinet above the passenger seat and to the right of the TV. Pretty easy to do and much easier finding the strongest signal. I have posted pictures in the album TV Power Booster Upgrade.
