Problems with overhead bed in Precept 31UL

We are at the end of Memorial Weekend with the grandkids.

One thing that we have discovered is that the ladder that is used to reach the overhead bed is about 2 inches too short from reaching the floor. We checked to make sure that the bed was fully down on the stops and it is. But there is no way for the grandkids to safely reach the bed.

Another problem we encountered is that the bed "braces" to keep a child from falling out has the padded ends on a he outside of the bed.

Anyone else with these problems?

Thanks,
Shirley

Congratulations on the new Precept, weekend with the grandkids, and welcome to the forum.

I can't help with your ladder question, but there are other Precept owners on this site that may have some information for you.

I believe there are programable stops for the overhead bed. You will have to move the physical stops. I know I read about it in the manual but don't know off hand how to reprogram. I'll look for it tomorrow and let you know what I find out if you don't have the manual (working today).

Shirley in the manual it says there are up to 5 programmable stops however reprogramming has to be done at a service center. Website for manufacturer is Project 2000 - Idee in movimento maybe you can find more info there.

I just lowered the stop bracket that is mounted to the bed track 2 inches. the bed will lower until it hits the bracket.
