We have a Sleep Number in our S&B and had one in our MH. Best purchases we ever made.

We now have a 2016 Jayco Designer with a memory foam mattress and I can't wait to replace it with a new Sleep Number King. Those memory foam mattresses may return to normal after you leave the bed but I find them uncomfortable to sleep on.

As for the base, the plywood platform is fine. You don't need the plastic base ... waste of money.

I have a sleep number mattress now too. It sits right on the plywood. Love it!!!

We have a sleep number bed in our home since April, So far it's been great! Plan on replacing our mattress in our 35UN with a sleep number also. Did you purchase direct through Sleep number or through a Camping World or such? We purchased our home Sleep number through Sleep Number Store.

I bought mine thru Camping World. I got into a chat room with the people at Sleep Number with a couple questions. They told me they did not price match any other stores and CW was having a sale on Sleep Number. I was able to buy at $130 cheaper from CW. Unfortunately, I believe the sale at CW ended on the 10th?? I could be wrong. If you are interested, you should check right away!

This is our 3rd season with ours. We self installed on the bare wood with no issues. We love ours.

I don't know if it is still the way it was when I bought my Sleep Number mattress, but you could only get the RV Radius King through CW. Sleep Number makes it, but their stores don't or didn't sell it. Only CW did.

Got ours about a year ago. Much better than the Denver mattress that came with our Pinnacle.
Question: does anyone have problems with the mattress creeping at night? I.e. It moves down and to one side overnight. Is so, how did you fix the problem?
