Water pump and Dry camping

Should I have the water pump in the ON position when dry camping? We will have electric hookup but no water.

Thanks, Never dry camped before, trying out our new Motorhome.

We leave ours on all the time when we are home. We shut it off when we are away from the camper. Insurance that we won't come back to a flooded camper. Have never experienced that but have read of cases where the toilet valve malfunctioned and folks came home to a bad situation.

Assuming we have water in the holding tank, we leave the water pump on as long as we are at the Rv. When we go away from the Rv, we turn off the water pump.

nma33, When we dry camp and want hot water, we will catch the "cold" in a pan until it gets hot. Then we pour that water (if we don't have a use for it) in the toilet. You have a 52 gal. black tank and a 40 gal. grey tank. You will find ways to conserve water usage.
