What's the purpose of that latching system you have on the screen door?

When the screen door is shut you have to slide the small door open to work the latch from the inside. This knob makes it easier to open from the inside. I plan on doing this in the spring.

No, not that one. He's got a latch inside the trailer at the top right side of the door.

cm11599ps-My 3 and 5 year old granddaughters camp with me sometimes. This keeps them from escaping. LOL Also, thanks to them, there is a small gap between the screen door and the frame. I have tried to straighten it but I cannot. The latch keeps the bugs out. P.S. I'm a she not a he.
