Rick,
Ok, I see you went with 12V Marine/RV batteries thus the parallel wiring, and having the additional amp capacity will be nice. I went with two Interstate 6V GC2-XHD deep cycle batteries for my AMP upgrade (
http://www.jaycoowners.com/showthread.php?t=2752.
I originally wanted to purchase two NOCO 6V GC-2 deep cycle boxes (HM306BK) because the top gas vents are covered, but the tech at NOCO told me that the box width at the bottom was 7 3/4"
, which wouldn't fit within my 7 1/2" support opening. I ended up going with two Power House A/T boxes that were 7 1/2" wide. Both of these NOCO and Power House boxes were 1" taller than the standard group 24 boxes for the additional height of the 6V, but it sounds like the NOCO tech gave me a bum steer
.
Clean installation on your battery upgrade, can't even see the cables, and I like how you modified the battery base with minimal alterations.
Bob
