2016 Eagle HT 29.5 Mods - Continue
Another mod checked off the list. After opening the paneling inside the rear storage to install my surge protector, I decided I wanted to insulate it. So I added a 1/2" to the wall behind the panel. Cut the insulation into 2 pieces for easier installation. Plus I wanted the top half to fill in the gaps in between the floor braces. Plus the insulation has an L shaped lip so the 2 pieces fit nice and tight together. I used 1 1/8" square-drive screws. Easy job and only took about 30 minutes.
More to come
Dave...

Added a few clamps for the rear stabilizer crank and front spare tire crank. Again I used rivets to hold them on the thin walls in the storage compartments.

Yesterday I added the Awning LED Light MOD. Super easy & took about 20 minutes. That included waiting for the Liquid Electricians Tape to dry. Now I can pre-set the light to 100%, 50% or 25% brightness. Use the + & - to get any level of brightness or use the Mode buttons to great different Flashing / Effects. Never thought about any real good use for the flashing, until I read someone post about this could be useful in case you ever called 911 and they needed to come to your campsite. Sure will be easy to find your camper with a Flashing Awning!
BTW just a note for other 29.5 owners. This Mod has Zero affect on the 2 front LED lights. They still are either On or Off. So now I need to look inside the control panel to see if the front LED's are directly wired to the switch. If so, I will buy another switch and wire the front LED's so I can control them separately.
Open Awning, peel back the plastic cover on the right side. Cut the Black & While wires. Splice in the LED controller.
Replace cover & your done!

Scott, remember this has no effect on the 2 front LEDs. I plan to see if those are wired directly to the light switch. If so, I will just buy another switch and move the wires so I can control the fronts independently. There is a blank light switch cover already on the panel.
I've been inside the control panel once already, not looking forward to going back in there. In case you've never seen inside it, here it is from the back side, by removing the cabinet false-wall:

Dave, I've been using that liquid black tape for a while now. I love it! And more than just one use too.

No, I had a little ice on mine after 2 days running. I had the fridge set on 3.

I put one of these in my refridgerator last week. Easy to install.
They guarantee the cooling fins will not ice up. We will see over Memorial day weekend.
