A couple new mods

Hey all I haven't posted here in a while, but I made a new mod. We go boondocking mostly and if we don't monitor my kids while taking a shower they will drain our tanks in one day.

I installed a sink sprayer, simple mod. When you want water you press the handle, get wet, get soaped, spray off. Navy shower at it's finest.

Next our pump was loud so I built a box out of soundboard and put foam noodles over all the hoses that made contact with the walls or floor. The pump can hardly be heard now. The soundboard is hard to work with, but not impossible.

To access to the water heater we used to have to unscrew a cabinet door (which was dumb) so I put some hinges on it and a door catch.

Water seemed to always leak out when we showered along the edge. So I cut a piece of wall corner protector and siliconed it on.

Thought I'd share. Thanks for your time.

I really like the sprayer nozzle idea (another "why didn't I think of that" simple idea).

Except that I will install one on my outside shower instead. That faucet is at the right height behind the trailer to use as a dishwashing station. We set up a table, dish tubs and drying rack. it is a pain with the original nozzle as you have to hold the nozzle while turning on the faucet. with a spray nozzle, it will be a one handed operation.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That's a great idea too, we have an outside shower too but never use it because the stupid showerhead always leaks!

Thanks for that idea! I'm going to install one this weekend! Thanks again.

That's a great idea for my outside shower head. I cook outside every chance I get and the fresh vegetables we buy from the farmers markets need a good rinse before they go on the grille.

I will be putting a sprayer on the outside shower as well. The outside shower head is worthless.

Another fix for the noisy water pump is to put a piece of foam under it. The noise you usually hear is from vibration.

I especially like the hot water heater door. I am trying to figure out how to change mine from the four screws. It is also on the bottom under the refrigerator so you have to get down on your knees. Ugh. Unfortunately, my panel you remove fits flush inside the opening. I may have to cut the panel down some so it can open easily. When you remove the four screws, you have to pull it out as it is a snug fit. I like your idea with the hinges and pull. I will have to see how I can modify mine to swing open.
