A couple of simple mods

I added some shelf space to my 22FB

A fold down shelf by the sink:

Also a similar shelf by the dinette:

And an extra shelf in bathroom cabinet:

Nice job! Those folding side tables are great to have.

I have a 22FB also. Great ideas for mine too. I was wondering what I could do with the space behind the dinette. Thanks for the post and photos.

Area behind dinette on the 22FB

We also wondered how we could best utilize this area since it was just wasted space. We discovered (by accident, of course) that a Closetmaid 3 shelf vertical stacker fit perfectly over the carpeted area. When we are camping, we put appliances and other things on it when we aren't using them (ie, the toaster, coffee pot, shoes, purse, books, etc). When we are traveling, we lay it on the dinette seat and put things in the shelves that we want to be safe while on the road.
It works for us so we thought it might be helpful to someone else.

You can find them at Walmart, Target, etc. Mine is white.

A couple of inmates have asked me about some details of my mods - through the private mail feature. This is for the 22FB but may apply to other models.

Install of the folding shelf off the kitchen sink.

Picture of the reinforcing 1x8x20 board under the sink:

First remove the top drawer - pull all the way out and depress the two little black plastic levers on the end of the slides - (one goes up and the other goes down)

I predrilled the screw holes in the board at a 45 degree angle so that the hole came out about midway through the 1 inch edge of the board - then I put the screws (1 inch sheet rock screws) in until they where just barely poking through. Then my daughter held the board in place while I screwed the screws into the frame of the cabinet with a electric screw driver (note with the edge near the front of the cabinet has room for only one screw)

Pictures of the shelf struts:

Also - the shelf off the dinette - the supplied screws are too long and will poke through the back of the dinette - went to ACE and got the next size shorter and worked fine.
