Hey all,
So not only am I new here, but I am also new to doing mods myself instead of having an RV shop do them for me. I recently purchased an accumulator tank from amazon (

I installed it today using the "Pump silencing kit" I had purchased and decided not to use on my water pump itself.

The install went pretty easy, but it looks really messy and unprofessional in my opinion. I want to change that. My questions are as follows;
1 - In the instructions, it says to install it so that the valve is facing up and the inlet and outlet are on the bottom. Why is this? It didn't specify in the instructions.
2 - Do I need to pressurize it using a air supply of some kind? The manual says pressure it up to 30psi,..is that what has been working for you guys? I haven't yet checked the pressure using a tire gauge. I wanted to come on here and ask some questions first.
3 - What would you change about the way I have installed it if it was you doing it?
Thanks for your help guys.
