Add plower strip to stove area

My wife uses a small toaster oven in the stove area. She had to run a cord from the back counter over to this area. I replaced the single receptacle that powers the M/W with a double one. I then ran the strip cord through the Cabinet floor and attached it to the wall.

This receptacle in inside the cabinet over the stove.

Pic 1.- The old receptacle. It has slots that the wire is just pushed down in to make wire contact. I don't like this type as if a high amp situation was to occor it could arc and burn out the wire. There was no box housing this plug in just a hole in the wall with wings on it.

Pic 2.- What I installed in it's place. A reg box and double receptacle.

Pic 3.- New box and wiring.

Pic 4.- Finished product.

Pic 5.- Cords plugged in.

Pic 6.- Strip attached to wall.

Idlogue,
I take it that your wife uses either the microwave or the toaster oven . I would be more concerned about overloading the circuit than an arc.

There is duplex receptacle on the end of the bar in my trailer. Had they wired it similar to the one across the room from it, I wouldn't have the cords hanging out to catch things. It will be easy to move so I'm not upset about it.
