Bolt on rear hitch question

For those have the added the bolt on rear hitch that can be ordered from Jayco. Would one of you be so kind as to measure the total length so I can confirm it will fit my trailer.
The part number for the hitch is 0240629.
Thanks,

Does your trailer have two tabs that are welded to the bottom of the frame at the rear? If so, chances are it will fit.

I will try to (remember to) measure the hitch tonight after work.

The size may be dependent on which model you have. Designer and Pinnacle are wide body, with wider frames.

Thanks for checking. Yes, mine has two tabs, one on each side, like you showed in your other post.
Wife just bought a new Camp Chef two burner stove with a full size steel griddle. Now I need someplace to put that thing.

Thanks,
If I may ask where did you order the rear hitch from? I've been looking for one but my dealer didn't have a clue.

Hmmm, I think it was a Jayco part number. My guess is your dealer is not looking very hard.
Here is the link to the original thread that discusses it.

Dan,

I'm so sorry I forgot to measure it!!!!

I have a busy evening again today, but will try to measure it once home for the night.

Is it the stove that the legs collapse or are removable? Like the Explorer stove, which is what we have. If you bought the big, double burner one piece griddle, I would suggest returning it for the two, single burner griddles. Reason is that way if you want to use a griddle and a pan or pot in the other burner, you can. I was back and forth of the large double burner vs two single burner griddles, and a buddy suggested the two single, so a griddle and pan could be used at the same time.

Do you have a pass through storage like our 32 has? You may be able to store the stove in there. We have our Camp Chef Explorer stove, a Weber Q220, a 10x10 ez up (hd model), two aluminum roll top tables, two 9x13 awning mats, and a tub with water hoses/ 30a ext cord in it, all in the pass through.

May take a minute to repack, but everything has its place!!! Lol

OK, I just measured my spacing between the brackets, it looks like it is 69" as well.
I also sent a message to Jayco and here is their reply.

Good afternoon,

I am showing that the accessory hitch on your unit is the part number you provided. However, we are not set up to sell direct, this will need to be ordered through an authorized Jacy dealer. We do not handle pricing, just provide the part numbers. The dealer will need to provide you with pricing for the below part number.

0240629 HITCH,2.00 ACCESSORY 69.00W
BLACK POWDER COATED

Have a great day!

Now I just have to contact my dealer and see how much it will cost!

I would recommend avoiding the bolt on, and take it in and have a real hitch custom fit, and welded into place. You will get a much better product, and NEVER have to worry about it.
