Closet Door Swap - Greyhawk 29MV

After purchasing our new Greyhawk 29MV in August, we found an issue with the mirrored closet doors in the back bedroom. With the slide in, you need to crawl onto the bed to access the closet space. No biggie, just an inconvenience when loading or unloading with slide not extended.

Solution; special-order an additional right-hand door so both doors open to the right giving you easy access to left-hand side of closet with slide in. No more crawling on/over the bed to access the that closet space!

Good idea Sprat! Wish I could that to my rig but I've got a mattress topper so can't open the closet door anyway. I didn't even realize there was enough clearance to open the door.

Ditto for us ... I was so excited about being able to access the closet with the slide in (even tho having to crawl across the bed). Then we added our mattress topper and that luxury was eliminated. Oh well, a good night's sleep trumps closet access, right?

Original post reflected our 2015 MV. Due to wood frame on door (arched edge on top mirror), we special ordered door so that hinges and handle were correct. In our 2018 MV the door frame is symmetric (top/bottom edge) and handle is dead center on the door. So whe just flipped the door 180° and remounted... looks perfect.

Good Morning. I don't think you have the 2014 29MV anymore but do you have a part number for the replacement closet door? I agree having the door open opposite makes it much easier to access the closet with the slide in! Do you remember the approx cost of the door? Thank you for your time :-)

We only flipped (180 degrees) the left-hand door and remounted the hinges to the frame. No need to replace the door. Handles were perfectly centered so couldn’t tell door was flipped. That was on our 2018, but I don’t recall the part number for 2015.

Okay, thank you for the reply. I think I may have to just do that with the existing door. I don't think the arch is going to be too noticeable and ordering a new door would probably put me into the poor house Thank you again
