Connected Bathroom fan to wall switch

My 22FB had a single wall switch for the bathroom light and a switch on the ceiling fan for the fan.

My poor wife is vertically challenged so had to use a hair brush to reach up to turn the fan on and off.

I pulled the wall switch, and fan trim and with my handy multimeter identified the wires to the fan. With a simple snip and splice, the wall switch now turns on both the light and the fan. I still can turn off the fan with the ceiling switch if I want.

I made a similar mod to my 19RD. Found the same wires, but I bought a triple ganged switch. Now the. Fan, light and a night light are switched separately.
